They are a nice team and I will be sharing the next four lessons with them. 
They have lessons of 80´ with a break of 10 minutes long. 
Ana, the teacher made me part of the lesson and allowed me to participate in some activities. She explained me the way she works and she showed me the book and activities they are doing.

It was my school, I did my first steps in 7th grade and then I continued the following five years there. It is situated in the center of town and many students choose it since it is an institution with religious orientation and the rules are quite different from other schools. They wear an uniform and they are quite strict when dealing with values and school rules.

Moreover, the teacher starts the lessons with a phrase for each day. For example, today is the World Environment Day so she wrote "Beat plastic pollution" on the board and she gave some examples of the use of plastic. Some students were lost but with some other students´participation they could get the tasks. 
This group of students are quite quiet anyway there are some others that interrupt the teacher because of their bad behavior. The teacher´response is very clear "get out". Two boys had to be outside the classroom during 40'. As I said in my report, this school is based on strong disciplines and they don´t allow disrespect in the classroom. 
The teacher uses some posters with nice pictures to present vocabulary or revise it. 
After the first observation, they added visual support like wh-words and question with How...

Too many things were in my mind and of course my nerves were present. 
The lesson started at 1.30 pm meeting the group of students. I used pictures, a video from the British Council, a projector, my computer and copies to do some activities in group and individually.
The experience was great! Most of the things I had planned were as I had thought. Of course, there are some mistakes as I am learning but after all I enjoyed my first day!

Writing on the board some examples is great to guide students to the correct answer. When you are in a classroom you can´t be static all the time, on the contrary, you have to walk the classroom, go to each student´s desk to check if they are doing well or they need guidance. I gave the students some information about Demi Lovato and they did some activities using a video and pictures. They could resolve all the activities well and finally they produced some sentences looking at an object.

Then, it occurred another thing...the teacher who was recording me with my video camera, forgot to play "start" and a long part from the lesson was missed. Fortunately, I could complete 41 minutes from the whole lesson. It was an unforgettable experience. 
Yesterday, I focused my lesson plan in a Communicative Approach through "guessing games", oral descriptions, asking and answering and oral and writing production which allowed students to work on speaking an listening skills very well. It was fantastic to notice lesson by lesson a progress in the group. At the beginning they were shy but during the two last lessons they started to participate actively and it is satisfying for me.

She is a great teacher for primary and secondary school. All her suggestions were given with respect an love. She was my teacher when I was a student. I went to the same school I am doing my practicum now. 
From my observations to the end of this period she told me how happy and proud she was.
Moreover, she asked me to be her substitute! I feel proud and it is another reason to go on working hard!
