• UNIRAZAK enforces a no-class-cancellation policy.

• In unavoidable circumstances, lecturers must obtain prior approval from the DVCA by sending an email request before cancelling any class.

• Once approval is granted, lecturers are required to update the details in the provided Google Form. 

• Please note this process is slightly different from the previous semester. Lecturers should complete the form only after confirming the replacement class arrangements.

1. Working Days & Hours

• Academic staff are required to fulfill five (5) working days per week, based on individual teaching schedules.

• These five working days may include weekends, depending on teaching and academic responsibilities.

• Your weekly work arrangement must be communicated to your Dean/Director and Deputy Deans/Deputy Director (Academic/Operation).

2. ODL Class Delivery

All online classes (ODL) must be conducted at UNIRAZAK, according to the designated venues stated in the timetable.

3. QR Code (Classroom Location Tracker)

• Starting November 2025 semester, all academic staff are required to scan the QR Code placed in classrooms and teaching pods.

• This is to record classroom usage for all venues from Level 2 to Level 13.

• The requirement applies to both conventional and ODL classes.

4. Class Cancellation

As we observe a no-class-cancellation policy, please write to the DVCA for approval if you are unable to conduct a class as scheduled.

5. ODL Course Card Readiness

All course cards for ODL courses must comply with ODL requirements, and the SIM must be properly structured.

Other Reminders

Please be mindful of the following academic tasks throughout the semester. If you are a course leader, kindly ensure that these are completed early so that lecturers at the main campus and tutors at the Regional Centres can plan accordingly:

1. Obtain course plan approval from the Dean/Director.

2. Plan the assessment and Test Specification Table (TST) early.

3. Enter the breakdown of marks in the SIS and ensure consistency with UROX.

4. Update materials in UROX and use it as the main platform for teaching and learning.

5. Monitor student performance and attendance throughout the semester.

6. Provide consultation and mentorship to your mentees.

7. Plan class activities, individually or collaboratively with the School.

8. Compile the teaching file at the end of the semester.

9. Prepare the Performance Measurement Analysis (PMA).

10. Suggest improvements for course and programme review.

These activities are not limited to inviting guest speakers but may also include volunteering programmes, educational visits and other experiential learning activities.

The activities can be organized individually, across multiple classes, by cluster or by collaborating with other departments.

Update the details in the provided spreadsheet and also submit information to the Student Experience Department to be included in the URXTRA portal.

3. Send a copy to the HR department for their record. Anything not recorded by them will not be counted.
