1. Napoleon wearing a golden cape could be seen as propaganda because it shows he is powerful since gold is seen as an expensive important thing. Plus having him wear a cape makes him come across as powerful so it could persuade people to trust him in war. Putting him on a horse in front of other men working makes it seem like he is better than everyone else.
2. The Flood - This picture shows propaganda because Napoleon carrying helpless kids makes him come across caring and selfless and that could persuade people to like him and think he is a caring person even if he wasn't. Everyones faces in this picture are full of fear and they look worried, but Napoleon seems calm and like he knows what he is doing and this could cause some people to trust him and like him.
3. Triumph of Bonaparte - This picture shows propaganda because in this one everyone is trying to look at Napoleon and that could make some people think that he is this amazing guy. It also portrays him as a powerful man because he has a very pretty and intricate chariot.
4. I think the second is the most convincing because it shows Napoleon as a caring yet powerful man. He is the tallest in the picture and he looks calm when everyone else looks worried, plus he is helping people.
5. It was probably first used on a widespread scale during the French Revolution because it was such a big turning point and therefore people were trying to figure out where they stood with how the government should work and so in a weird way they were vulnerable and people could use that to their advantage to persuade people.

1. His clothes (golden cape) and him riding a horse draws you into the picture. It makes it seem that Napoleon is a very powerful leader and you should join him.
2. All the people in the second picture look scared and sad and tired. They all look poor and one person is holding her hands towards God to ask him for help. This is propaganda because it is trying to persuade you to help the people out.
3. In the last picture the intricate Chariot and the women with angel wings shows that they are rich and powerful. There is also angels with them so that shows how they are "heavenly".

I think that the third picture is the most convincing since is makes it seem that Napoleon is "God Like" since he is with angles. Also all of the intricate designs makes it seem that he is very wealthy and has a lot of power.

I think that the french Revolution was the first time in history that they used propaganda because they needed to recruit more people for the war and they wanted to show how great of a leader Napoleon was so that they would join him.

1. Napoleon is riding a horse and seems to be the center of attention in this picture. This picture seems to be suggesting that Napoleon is great because he seems to be wearing very fine clothing.
2. This picture shows Napoleon being very caring and taking care of his people who are struggling. He is also carrying a child which enhances this idea.
3. This picture shows Napoleon as the center of attention. He seems to be very serious and ruler like.

I think that the picture that is the most convincing form of propaganda is the flood picture. It shows Napoleon being very caring in society and this is something that people would respect and want from a leader.

I think that people had many opinions on Napoleon and propaganda was a way for people to express them and convince people to believe in their opinion.

1. in this photo he looks very superior and powerful with his golden cape and hyper horse. his cape portrays him as a wealthy and motivated man who can be trusted to get the job done in war.
2. in this one everybody is sitting desperately hoping for better conditions, while Napoleon is trying to help out. this portrays him as a compassionate, loyal leader who is not only willing to get the job done, but to make things better for his people.
3. this portrays napoleon as front and center. his snazzy chariot makes him seem higher-level.
4. if i were given these three pieces of propaganda in those circumstances, i would be strongly convinced by the first one because it very much depicts him as an individual, and can portray a lot of different things.
5. wow i dont know how to answer this...

1. Napoleon's confidence and power show that he is strong and powerful. On one of the rocks below it says, "Bonaparte", which was Napoleon's last name. This shows power and territory. His attire is luxurious which shows wealth and prosperity. The overall elements of the picture convince an individual of Napoleon's greatness
2. In this picture it shows Napoleon helping people escape the flood. He is shown lifiting someone off the boat to safety. The pictures gives off the idea that he is selfless and he helps all off his people.
3.This picture shows Napoleon in a heavenly state, for he is surronded by angelic figures. He is show leading them on a chariot. I think that is symbolizes that he can lead his people to a place of goodness. It also represents his power, for he is leading everyone. I think that the "angels" represent his people and it is aiming to depict that they are like angels to him.

1. It think that the first photo is the most convincing form of propaganda. This is because Napoleon looks the strongest and most powerful in this picture. For his clothes is vibrant and his appearance is strong.

2.
I think that propaganda was used during this time because there was such a vast number of people under Napoleon's rule, for it could reach more people who did not speak that same language.

He wears a fancy, gold cape which could be a sign that he is wealthy and, again, points to the fact that he is strong and powerful.
2. This picture depicts Napoleon as kind as he is helping people escape a flood. It also shows him as being capable in a way because the people he is helping appear not to be able to save themselves, but he can.
3. Napoleon in this pictures appears to be very powerful and important as he is riding in a chariot with what appears to be an angel. This also could show that he is favored by God, as there are angels walking in front of the chariot and with him.

1. Napoleon'c confidence, and the fact that his soldiers in the background are the living ones, show that he is a strong, confident, and powerful leader.
2. Napoleon is helping a family escape from a flood showing that he is willing to get his hands dirty for his country
3. This picture shows napoleon in a chariot with a large crowd following him. My best guess is he had just come back from a war, one which he had won, and they were celebrating his victory!
4. think the first one is the most convincing. We can see that the living soldiers are French (based on their uniforms) and the one or two that are dead, it shows the aspects of both other paintings. It shows his victory, and his willingness to get his hands dirty for his country.

1. Napoleon is the main character portrayed in the painting and he is shown as a leader. He is wearing fancy clothes which shows his ranking in the army. He is riding a white horse which portrays him as a good person.
2. He is shown looking after the less fortunate which shows compassion. It makes him seem like a hero to all.
3. Napoleon is standing next to what seems like an angel which shows that he was chosen by God. He is riding a chariot that seems very fancy and shows his triumph over all. All of the people are looking at him with awe it seems.
4. I believe the first picture is the best propaganda because it shows how powerful he is in war. He seems like a good leader.

1. Napoleon looks really brave and powerful here because he is up high on a horse, and because of his position. He is wearing fancy clothes, which show his wealth, and he is having a good time while in the background others are working.
2. Here, Napoleon in portrayed as a common helper, who is saving people from a massive flood. People would feel inclined to like him because he is shown helping the public, including poor women and children.
3. In this third picture, Napoleon is seen as god-like. He is in a fancy chariot with angels by his side, which shows that he is grand and holy.
4. I think the third painting is the most convincing that Napoleon is great because he is shown as god-like and above everyone else. I think portraying someone as powerful is more effective than showing him helping others because it forces him into your mind as good instead of letting you choose your opinion.
5. I believe that propaganda was first used here because there was such a widespread hate for Napoleon. When they finally figured out how to influence people sneakily, they did that instead of by force like the past because of the numbers of the population.

People are being saved from a flood by Napoleon and this shows that he is a very strong through rough times and can save people and keep them out of danger.
3. Napoleon is standing by all these people and he is standing on the little stand by the horse while everyone else is on the ground and this shows that he has a lot of power. This picture also shows all of the people that desires him or look up to him as a great leader.

1. Napoleon is pictured on a horse with intricate clothing and a hat. He looks like he is riding with ease and is leading the pack. This could show that he is winning all his battles because he looks so confident and powerful, but he may not always be victorious. Also, his gold and royal looking outfit shows his power as well.
2. The people in the boat with Napoleon look like they are suffering and need help. The picture also depicts Napolean trying to help them, which seems unrealistic because he is only focused on power and wealth for himself and his country and not the well being of people.
3. All the people surrounding Napoleon in this photo have cloths and angel wings on. This could show that they are god/goddess/angel like and Napoleon is that too. It could lead people to believe Napoleon is among the Gods, therefore they would like him more, when we all know he is not.
4. The third photo could lead to the most propaganda. If people are so devoted to the church they could then become tricked into being so devoted to Napoleon.
5. I think people started to have more opinions about this leader and he affected all of the world since he was so powerful and rash. People either loved him or hated him, and wanted to show their opinions about their stand.

1. Napoleon is dressed in only the most lavish clothing, mostly gold to note his high ranking. He is pointing his hand forward and up as a sort of "follow me!" symbol, and beneath him a rock is branded "Bonaparte" to seamlessly promote him further.
2. This image portrays him as not only a powerful leader, but a compassionate one as well, as he takes time to aid poor children, which appeals to the empathy of all who see it.
3. Napoleon is standing at the highest point in the image, a clear depiction of his power and rank. He stands confidently and in control of everyone, and the woman with the angel wings by his side gives him a "holier than thou" aura.
4. I think the best form of propaganda is either the second or third image, depending entirely on the audience. If the French value a kind, humanitarian ruler, looking out for the people above all else, the flood image is the best propaganda, but if the French seek someone who can earn and maintain control of the people, the third image is the best representation of this.
5. The French revolution and Napoleon's ultimate takedown was one of the first times politics

In the background it looks like the other men are working and then there's Napoleon just riding his horse in a cape. It's almost like he's too good to fight, so he just rides around tells other people what to do.
2. It looks like Napoleon is helping people who are trapped on a small boat during a flood. It shows that not only is Napoleon a good leader, he's also a good helper.
3. Napoleon is surrounded by very elegant people and angels. It shows that Napoleon was seen as holy and like god because he was so powerful.
4. I think the 3rd is the

1. In this painting, it shows Napoleon riding a horse in (what it looks like) a battle. His name is shows of a stone besides him and he is dressed in nice clothes. The fancy clothes show how he is wealthy and has power. Also, there is his army fighting next to him which shows he has a large army with him. He is shows proud and confident,
2. In this painting, there is a scene where it looks like there is a family in some type of crisis. They are in need of some type, and it shows Napoleon helping them. Some of his men are helping too. This is trying to persuade you that he is good and will help out. In this he is also wearing fancy clothing, while the family is wearing not nice clothing. It is the rich helping the poor, so this is saying Napoleon will help everyone, including the poor.
3. IN this painting, it shows Napoleon in what it looks like as a parade. He is the center and most important part of the parade. There is a woman besides him that has angel wings and all the other women kinda look like goddesses. This may give off the sense that he is almost like God in heaven. Like he is the chosen one. Again, he and everyone in this painting is dressed in fancy clothing showing their power.

In Napoleon crossing the Alps, his clothes are very fancy looking and if you look in the background, you can see that he is in some kind of war; his horse looks like it even belongs to someone special, you can tell by looking at the little hints of gold on the reins.
2. In the painting, The Flood, it looks like he is the guy saving the women and children from what appears to me a flooding building , and it shows him being a hero and like saving the day.

His horse is also seems to be scared or startled, but Napoleon seems unfazed on top. This could represent his calm composure while his country and the rest of Europe are deep in warfare. He looks heroic and proud while leading his army.
2. Napoleon is saving a small child from the flood and looking back on how to help the others also. Floods in the Bible are usually an act of God, as in the story of Noah's Ark, so there is more divine power symbolism.
3. Napoleon is being honored by his subjects and is being paraded through a town. He is wearing laurels, an ancient sign of wisdom and power. He is also standing next to what seems to be an angel and is being led by cherubs.

I believe the first painting is the best propaganda because it makes him look the most heroic.

1. I think that the first picture is the best example of a propaganda because it shows how powerful Napoleon is. This propaganda tries to persuade you to want to be on Napoleon's side because he looks so powerful you wouldn't want to be fighting against him.
2. I think the French Revolution was the first use of propaganda because there were many countries involved in this war so each leader of each country was trying to persuade you to "their side."
