In order to be successful in life (work and family) you need to demonstrate integrity. Integrity builds trust and ultimately leads to your own success. It is integrity and character that maximizes your talent and leads to the fullfillment of your greatest potential. Integrity builds congruence, which builds trust. If people do not trust you, you'll never have success in any endeaver. You can build trust by having a positive attitude and deliver to people what they need and want. Advising builds trust. The more you deliver on your promises, the more you build trust with others. When people see that your actions and your words align, they see the congruent behavior in your life and naturally want to follow you.

Matt couldn’t believe he turned down $7million but knew he did right thing. Tony blew up his phone but ignored the calls. He did answer Jade’s text and meet up with her and confessed “While the engines have been performing well, the truth is that we haven’t received a final pass test yet.” He lied that it did. He personally didn’t want to proceed but Tony demanded to make deal. He feared for his job and wanted to make this deal of huge magnitude. He made amends and Jade was annoyed but thankful for the honesty. It did save from future lawsuits and that they were thankful for. Jade explained to Jerry what happened. Tony was terminated and Matt is VP of sales now. The Airlines will wait until regulatory tests pass.

Matt received a $7 million bonus in crypto currency and he was ready to retire early and vacation with his family. He had announced his retirement to his friends yet he was uncertain when he returned to his office. His grandfather, who's the CEO of the company, approached him and complemented his leadership and hard work but was most proud of his growth as a person and how he has been a leader in his family. His grandfather soon asked him to become the next CEO of the company but also allowed him to think about it and talk it over with his family. He remembered the conversation he had with Jerry. "What decision would I be proud of making twenty years from now?" After talking it over with his family, it was decided that he would take over, work hard but not forget about taking time off and focus on what's more important. Afterall, "Life is so much better when you're living with a greater purpose."

Summary: Randy was an alcoholic and addicted to different drugs in the past. He pushed away everything good in his life, lost everything and ended up homeless. Alcohol and drugs became the daily remedies for trying to cope with the stresses of his life. He didn't care about others, and he only did what was easy. He began to change when he met a man who he felt valued him like no one else had when he live on the street. This man helped him to get supports that lead him to see the value of living with integrity. He learned that when you have integrity in all areas, you allow yourself to have success in multiple areas of life. He also learned that "looking honestly at what could derail you will help you maintain your integrity".

Matt seemed more relaxed from the trip. Two months went by and Matt was happy and performing well at work. He spent more time with his family and lead his sales team effectively. Colleagues started respecting him and no longer saw him as a spoiled brat. A month later, Matt received the news of the engine passing. After 6 days of negotiating, the deal went through. Jade told Matt that at times she felt like reaching out to other companies, but because Matt was so honest, Jade continued to wait. Matt closed the biggest deal of his life and because of this he was lauded as the hero of the story because of his courage and integrity. Moral of this chapter: patience & integrity = long term success.
