At this stage it is very important to encourage body positivity, and to answer any questions that are individual to the patient. Patients may start to become sexually active, therefore proper sexual/reproductive education is advised. Mental health screenings are heavily advised whereas this is the time period where teens can start to develop mental health concerns. It is important to encourage independence with the teenager but with a reasonable extent considering the parent's wishes as well. Overall, it is important to listen and to connect with teenage patients because puberty can be an intense time period and these patients are new to figuring out life and big changes

There are many theories of general development in humans. For example, there are developmental theories that narrow in on a specific part of human life and explains how and why it develops in a certain way. There are then grand theories, such as the ones proposed by Freud and Erikson, that highlight the entirety of life and attempt to explain development that way. There are also theories pertaining to the brain, called cognitive theories. They explore how the brain grows throughout our lifetimes. Moral theories, such as the hierarchy of needs, focus on what humans need on a level besides physiological levels. Overall, there are many theories that offer differing perspectives on how and why humans develop in certain ways. It's important to take into account all of them when attempting to make a conclusion.

The brain changes more than any other part of the body throughout our lifetime. The size of the brain increases to about 90% of its original volume by the age of 6. However, the frontal lobes which are the areas that control planning, memory, and impulse control are the last areas to develop, not fully developing until around age 35. That being said, the brain ages naturally which is the cause of some symptoms we associate with old age such as memory loss, slowing down, or just overall function which has been linked to the way the brain shrinks as time goes on. There are many ways to delay the effects of this aging such as exercise, having a healthy diet, and other therapy methods. There are many studies going on today and the healthcare field is forever becoming more knowledgeable about the brain and its development.

As a person ages, the heart and blood vessels start to gradually change over time. The heart muscles change to adjust to the increased workload, and the heart rate at rest won't increase during activities as much as it used to. These changes increase the risk of high blood pressure (hypertension) and other cardiovascular problems. Still, there are measures you can take to promote heart health, including staying physically active/participating in physical activity, eating healthy, staying away from alcohol and smoking, managing stress, and sleeping.

After reading this article, it went over the different stages of grief. Everyone is different when it comes to losing someone close. People can go back and forth through the stages. Sometimes the process can last forever than others. It is important to understand that people can get stuck in one stage and would have trouble reaching the end goal of acceptance. Not only does this process occur in adults, it can occur with children too but the process might look different compared to adults. I've seen close family go through this process as a little kid. Seeing my father lose his dad due to liver cancer was hard on him. As a little kid, I never knew what was going on inside his head. I was very little at the time never remember seeing my grandfather often so I couldn't feel the same pain as my father. Sometimes my dad and his siblings would grief whenever we brought up the idea of growing the family as that was something my grandfather wanted but could never see. Overall, this is an important topic to understand. To see and process what is going on in someone's life or even your life when losing a loved one.

As you get old, you will experience a varity of problems. But many of the problems don't even have to wait till you age to happen of you. If your lifestyle is not healthy, your body could become just like a 60-year-old when you are just 16. Cardiovascular problem is a leading cause of death among all ages. Your blood vessels stiffen as you age, so your heart have to pump harder. This increase the risk of hypertension and other cardiovascular problems. To prevent heart diseases, exercise daily, eat healthy, manage strss, don't smoke, and get enough sleep. You could get easily injured if your bone are fragile, and your muscle loses strength. To promote their health, get enough calcium, vitamin D, workout, and avoid substance abuse. As old people might experience constipation, those who sit too long and don't drink water will have the same issue. Eat healthy diet, exercise, and go to restroom at once could prevent constipation. Loss of memory and cognition skills are often seen on old people too, but also on those with sleep dificiency. Exercise, eat healthy, stay mentally active, be social, treat cardivascular diseases, quit smoking, are ways to help.
