Online Unis
  • There is a definite pro to the idea of shifting to online education, based on the flexibility it allows for each individual to plan and carry out their day. When Covid-19 hit, we realized that this type of education did work, due to the forced situation. However, moving back to the traditional setting does not always suit everybody.
  • Online education offers cost effective solutions for learning and as a result of the increasing costs of the university infrastructure and running costs, “the fittest survive” which in the long run could lead to education not being available for all. Online education could solve this issue. 
  • Online education has saved people much time by easing the task of learning from wherever they are without the need of being physically present.

On Campus Unis

  • There will always be deductions that require practical training which speaks against moving ALL traditional education to an online environment. 
  • Shifting to online education would result in losing the human interaction which is important to develop social skills and future networks. Therefore campus education would be essential in nurturing this.
  • The lab and physical infrastructure and collaborative environment they offer play a critical role in advanced learning.
