Competition

Makeup involves competition because there is a variety of different brands and products everywhere. Some brands have more products than others and that's something to take into consideration if you are a producer. Makeup can be very expensive depending on the quality and the producer. In some situations competition can get to out of hand, but in this case makeup mostly stays under control. The one thing competition can do to effect the producers is to motivate them to do everything they can to satisfy the consumer such as improving the pigment or adding a different variety of products. For example, consumers would rather buy from a brand that sells eyeliner, mascara, brushes, moisturizer, foundation, brow pencils etc. versus a company that only sells mascara.

Prices

When selling makeup, the product has to have a reasonable price in correlation with the quality. Buyers want to lowest price they can get, and sellers want to sell for the highest price. Since that is the case, it would have to be evened out for the buyers and the sellers both to get what they want. Therefore, sellers for makeup have to be careful in which they are making a good amount of money and continue that cycle. This all comes down to equilibrium, everything has to stay balanced.

Many brands make their makeup by testing it on animals. Animal cruelty has been banned in some countries because it is against buyers morality to support it. Makeup that is made that have used animal cruelty, give the consumers a lack of incentive to purchase their product. If the buyer knew that the item they're buying didn't involve animal cruelty, they would have more of a chance of buying it.

Makeup is a good/product and factories have to do many things to satisfy their consumers. This topic also focuses on the raw materials used for making the makeup. It all matters and makes a difference to the product. That includes labor by thinking of and putting in all the right ingredients for the product to be good enough to sell. The factories also have to have good quality machines and what not to make the product suffice. All these little details count as labor and it's beneficial because it is all for making the makeup better to use/sell. All in all, all the labor put into makeup if for better quality, more buyers, and it benefits everybody in the business.

Makeup can be very expensive depending on the product or producer, and there is so much makeup to choose from. Buyers/consumers have to be smart in which products they choose based on their reference. There are many trade-off's related to this because you may really enjoy the expensive product you buy and use it every single day. Buyers decide which product would benefit them the most and if it's worth their money. You can only buy so much makeup, and most of the time you have and opportunity cost in finally deciding not to buy a product that you might of really wanted in the end of the day.
