The book was very engaging in the sense that it taught me various music styles. Even the rolling stone named this book one of the best books of 2016. I think this is an amazing book to recommend to a friend because it fully explained the different music styles. My favorite aspects of this book were when I got to relate Ratliff's different music styles to music that I listen to daily. The one thing I found problematic in reading this book was finding a song to match the music styles Ratliff presented.
