There is something mysterious about him in his descent. 
He is the more poetic then hamlet. He has poetry in his casual phrases. 
Othello's mind for all his poetry is simple. He doesn't observe anything, he does not reflect on anything. Emotion excites his imagination but dulls his intelligence. 
  
The person he needs the most to rescue him from his mess and feelings is the one person who he is killing. The base of his human emotions have been messed with so the real animal nature of all humans have come out. Controlling jealousy keeps humans in a stable mindset but once they become jealous, the lose sanity.
