I feel students violate Commandment #5 "Thou Shalt Not Use A Computer To Bear False Witness" most often.

I believe these violations occur due to the accessibility of AI today, such as ChatGPT, which allows students to easily take information and present it as their own with little to no repercussion.

Q3. What do you think could be done to reduce or eliminate such unethical behavior?

Option One: Strictly monitor what sites students are using, flag any use of AI, and dish out severe punishments. This would hopefully scare students away from using AI for any future work.

Option 2 (the better one in my opinion): Give assignments, like opinion-based work, where students can benefit less from using AI and/or allow the use of it (depending on the situation). Fact is, AI continues to become a part of our lives and this will only increase, so I believe it is better to get students more acclimated to it for their futures.
