In present-day how would our society react/help Holomodor in this situation?  In the present-day Americans would be able to find many ways to help Holomodor.

How would the famine be different if the Ukrainians found a way to escape and retrieve food?  The Ukrainians could have had it much easier if they found out a way to retrieve food and escape.
