I think that this was something a little different for our level and that the finished product on Kram's instagram came out nice! I think that it was a healthy exercise that made everyone feel positive and well restored. From watching the video I think that if I would have done more floor stretches, abdominal strengthening tools such as a head stand it could have made my improvisation a little more interesting. We decided to do ours about school shootings because they are happening more often and we felt like it was an important topic. From watching the video I think that I could use less movement and just make myself as a character more crazy with minimal movement. The class also suggested to not actually make a gun with my hands and to find a way to kill Lia without actually showing a gun. I noticed that she used a lot of arms and "free" movements. It almost looked as if she was lost and just discovering her body and what it could do for the first time. I thought that it was something different and had a good use of repetition and of background. The background and costume help create an eerie feeling behind the dancer. The dancer is also performing very eerie, sharp, and dark movement.
