I tried to use a variety of art mediums. My favorite medium was using modeling paste under acrylic paint for tree foliage, grass, the main part of the tree house and even the tire swing. I hung the words in the tree house that describe an unfolding journey with God - the abundance that he invites us into.

Then Jesus said, "Hang it up; look at it & listen." So . . . it is symbolic in SO many ways to the LONG season of my life that has felt so full of dark, drab, loss & griefs. I used crayons - reminding me of being a child (usually crayons are a "first" art medium"), a child needing my Abba Father. All things move from dark/death to life/light/color. The colors in HUTCHMOOT speak to God's promise to Noah as well as the gold (H) & silver (T) to the refining process of sanctification. The steps/threshold of the tree to the blood of Christ. The Phoenix to new life from death, Christ's & mine. The vine/fruit to Jesus/me abiding in Him. The bucket/river to Jesus as provider of Living Water. The tire swing to coming to Jesus giving rest when I am weary. The bread & wine to Jesus's sacrifice for me & my sacrificing for others in His name.
