-Led by example. He was always out with his soldiers.
- well organized
-disciplined. While he trained solders at West Point, he would constantly correct the soldiers under him. Whether it was the uniform, or the way they were marching
- Nobody liked Pershing, and General Pershing didn't really like anyone.
- He was known to be the most hard headed Soldier in Europe. Mainly because he wanted an independent Army while in Europe. Basically meaning he wanted his Army separated from Americas allies, such as the French and the British.
-General Pershing was tasked to raise the number of soldiers. The U.S. Army went from roughly 90,000 to over 3 million in just roughly 18 months
-

Despite the failures, flaws and the loss of his family, General Pershing is important to study today. The main reason is because he created the General Staff that is still used today. A remarkable man that continued to offer his services, even after retirement.

- The American Army was not prepared for the war
-The American Army had to rely on the British for weapons, and supplies.
-Pancho Villa wasn't found.
- General Pershing described it as " finding a needle in a haystack, with an armed guard standing over the stack forbidding you to look into the hay."
-Thought that trench fighting was basically the worst idea ever.
- was old fashion. one example is that General Pershing would travel on horse back rather than newly developed vehicles.

Ryan - there is some good information in your presentation. I am not sure if "nobody liked him" is entirely accurate. Patton and MacArthur and Marshall were all fans of Pershing. "Liked" may be the wrong way to view him (or are we obsessed with liked/disliked today?)

Nice work getting the youtube video inserted in here - experimentation!
