How do you manage time when there are no set course hours and when the classroom is open twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week?

  • It is challenging to build a comfortable environment for learning or a sense of community in the online environment.  It will be important to think about ways that students and teachers can get to know each other and stay connected.
  • Solution for this challenge:
    • Several tools such as wikis, blogs, videos, and podcasts. With the help of these tools, students become excited about the course content, share ideas, and work together to build knowledge. Thanks to this class, I now have very clear that using social interaction tools can provide opportunities to promote student interaction and collaboration, which builds learning communities in both face to face and distant courses

    • Write learning objectives that describe measurable outcomes. I was not expecting to learn about this, but I am very glad I did. Having clear objectives for each of my modules, will give me, and my students a more organize structure of my classes. If they know exactly what to expect, it would be easier for me to deliver my classes
