3. I learned that the oldest living land animal is a tortoise, that is 190 years old. I also learned that an NFT of LeBron James sold for more than $500,000. I also learned that to prevent a peasant uprising in Ukraine, Stalin made a law that made stealing grain from a collective farm punishable by execution and much more.

2. I would like to learn more about how new technology such as ShotTracker can be used in high school sports to track statistics. I also found it interesting that land animals can live up to 190 years which makes me wonder how long can certain sea animals live for.

1. One question that I have is, for the article "Reading Tastes Around the Globe", how did they get this information and why are they missing so many countries and only have a few?

New technology is being developed that can track basketball games in real time, such as the distance of shots and how many times a certain player has touched the ball.

2. More than 76,000 refugees from Afghanistan have moved to the US in the past year.

2 Things I found interesting:

1. I think it's crazy that a kid could make $30,000 off of one piece of artwork, and not even a hard copy, only a digital one.

2. The communists staged a photo of children working in a field and looking happy as a form of propaganda.

1 Question I have:

1. One reason South Korean culture gained popularity globally during the pandemic because people were always online and had enough time to watch it.

2 Things I found interesting:
 1.

Things that I learned:

1. That Korea was under Japanese rule and that the Korean citizens were often forced to speak Japanese and follow strict Japanese rules.

2. I had known that many middle eastern refugees came to the United States but I did not know that 76,000 of these refugees were Afghan refugees.

3. Ukraine went through a horrific famine that had killed over 4 million Ukrainians.

Two Interesting things I found during my reading:

1. During the Ukrainian famine, authorities would tear villages and homes down in order to take away grains of seed and any kind of food.

2. 76,000 Afghan refugees have arrived in the US over the past year.

One question I have left after reading

1. Why is everyone so shocked that the United States has to pay for the refugees even though the United States is quite literally bombing their home country and committing and constantly allowing for atrocious war crimes?

Andrew Jackson was about to be reelected when he was born in 1832, and Charles Darwin had just embarked on an expedition that would lead to his theories of evolution and natural selection.

2.
