In Italy, the variety of animals that live in cities is staggering. The most present ones are definitely pigeons, they are in every corner of everywhere you go, you can see hundreds just in one day. Other birds that live in cities like Rome are seagulls, which unlike pigeons aren’t native to the place; they migrate from coastal areas to eat uncollected trash, abbandoned in the streets by AMA. For this same problem, boars are often seen walking by, especially in the suburbs. This is obviously a big problem as boars can be a very dangerous species. They may be hard to see, but rodents are also very present in all big cities. Obviously, all this has to be taken with a grain of salt, Rome isn’t a zoo, you can also walk downtown and not see any animals at all.

Türkiye, on the other hand, can’t boast such a rich urban fauna, but they do have a huge amounts of animals such as cats and dogs. Cats especially, they are everywhere, inside schools and even shops, most are also very social, as the Turkish love them. Dogs are a little less present, these tend to be really big and sometimes scary, they are surely less loved than cats here. In our stay, we haven’t seen any other animals beside of these two.Cats are there because in the past centuries, they were brought by merchant ships, who kept them there to hunt mice and other animals who could have damaged the goods.

Roskilde festival is Denmark’s biggest festival by far. The maximum of participants at the location is 135.000. Public transportation from Copenhagen is about 25 minutes and less by car. If you’re driving along the highway in Roskilde, you’ll be able to see the festival in all its glory. the festival lasts 5 days, from Wednesday to Sunday during summer vacation since most of the attendants are young. It’s also used as an excuse to drink all day, partying till after the sun goes down. When you wake up it’s time to party again. The entrance tickets for one day are 1200 DKK (4690 lira) and a ticket for all five days would be 2400 DKK (9380 lira). A lot of famous artists from different countries to perform at the festival for example Nine inch nails, arctic monkeys, Metallica, Kendrick Lamar, muse, coldplay, the weeknd, deftones and even Taylor swift. 

 Izmir has their festival with artists playing at night, and during the day people will usually be in school or working. The concerts are referred to as çim konseri which translates to grass concerts. There are different genres of bands, both Turkish pop music and rock music. The festival lasts ten days, from September 1st to September 10^th. The location for the festival is kültürpark which can be found in the city center. Entrance to the festival is free, to make sure that everyone can experience it, and no one gets left out because of money.
