They used skeletal system vocabulary words to create their own Acrostic poem.  Students chose an Acrostic style, poetic devices, used Medical Terminology notes, personification and medical images to produce their poems. Students had fun personifying their poems because it required them to think like their parts and attempt to describe themselves in a poetic way. Through the experiment students were able to see how some soda did breakdown the "bone" but after reading the article they learned there was no true scientific evidence of this connection. It helped lead into discussions on anatomy of the body and different organs affected by the over consumption of soda.
