i am surprised by what f says. Both sources are different in telling me abot the vulnerability in Singapore of climate change. e tells me about the threat of rising sea level and Singapore being a low lying country. f tells me abot how Singapore is vulnerable to global supply flunctuation. and food insecurity.

I am not surprised by the source as Singapore is already planning for the long-term impacts of climate change in Source E, it is not surprising that Source F shows Singapore also taking that they are and taking action to help in prevent the climate change and mitigate the impacts as well as adapting such as food security. soruce F states that ¨Food supply disruptions due to climate related events like droughts and floods ¨ as these help with mitigation stratergies that help reduce climate change impact While source E states that ¨ investing in alternative protein refers to plant based and food-techonology alternative to animal protein¨ as these align with government long term stratergise .Therefore, Source F does not come as a surprise because it reflects Singapore’s consistent approach of planning ahead and investing in sustainable solutions to tackle climate change as they are both similar .

Both Source F and Source B show that different sectors are taking proactive steps to combat climate change through innovation. In Source F, ¨ cultured meat and biotechnology, to improve food security in response to climate-related supply disruptions.¨ This shows the public sector’s role in addressing long-term sustainability issues. Similarly, in Source B, ¨the company will reach 100% renewable energy for its global operations, including data centres and offices, by 2017. ¨This shows how the private sector is also taking bold steps to reduce environmental impact by using clean energy sources like wind and solar power. Therefore, while Source F focuses on food innovation and Source B on clean energy, both demonstrate a strong commitment to long-term climate solutions through technology and forward planning.

In conclusion, both Source E and Source F show that Singapore is taking climate change seriously, but they highlight different timelines and areas of focus. Source E emphasizes the need for long-term planning and investment to deal with rising sea levels over the next 50 to 100 years. In contrast, Source F shows that Singapore is already taking immediate action to strengthen food security through innovation in response to current global events. Together, the two sources demonstrate a balanced national approach both future climate threats and present-day challenges

Yes, after reading Source E I am surprised by Source F. Source E and F are different as they talk about different issues that Singapore is facing. E talks about “Singapore [being] especially vulnerable to one grave threat, and that is rising sea levels. We must prepare for the impact of climate change on Singapore” this shows that it is identifying the threat that Singapore is facing is rising sea levels and that they have to implement measures to tackle climate change. F talks about “ over 90% of our food is imported, Singapore is vulnerable to global supply fluctuations. Of late, food security became an issue of strategic importance for all countries.” This shows that Singapore identifies the threat of climate change to be its vulnerability to stress on global food supply duo to impacted crop yield.

Source F is refuted by Source B. As B mentions that “tackling climate change is an urgent global priority” and “in 2017 Google will reach 100% renewable energy for our global operations” this shows that stopping climate change is more important than adapting to global supply fluctuations. Global supply like food, is temporary as it will keep changing as time passes but compared to climate change it will be an existing problem that all of us are facing currently so stopping climate change would be the top priority. As stopping climate change will effectively stop global supply fluctuation as climate change is the main problem which causes the sub problems so then by resolving it, we will resolving many other issues, like food security and supply.

The timeline also makes a difference which shows that in Source E 2019 Singapore’s prime minister Lee Hsien Loong had already identified the issue long time ago but then in Source F Ms Grace Fu which is the Minister of Sustainability and Environment which identifies the temporary problem in 2022 due to war and the already existing climate change issue.

Having read Source E, I am not surprised by Source F. Both sources agree that Singapore needs to find ways to combat climate change. This is evidenced by Source E stating that being a "low-lying nation, Singapore is especially vunerable to one grave threat, and that is rising sea levels" and how Singapore must "prepare for the impact of climate change" . This is evidenced by Source F which states that "with over 90% of [Singapore's] food is imported, Singapore is vulnerable to globbal supply fluctuations". Both Sources show that due to climate change, Singapore faces existential crisis, with rising sea levels threatening to submerge the nation, and with climate chnage making the global food supply more volatile, Singapore must find a way to mitigate these issues before they become out of control.

Source F isnt surprising as it is supported by soucr
