On their second trip, Tashtego's harpoon hit a whale but Pip was pulled out from the boat and into the water when the harpoon rope caught him as he jumped up after a whale hit the boat. The whale swam away dragging Pip behind it. They had to cut the rope and let the whale go to save Pip. Pip was warned not to jump again but he did it again on the third trip. However, this time, the boat went after the whale leaving Pip behind in the icy and dangerous ocean. Pip was only saved after caught the whale. Pip was helped onto the Pequod by Captain Ahab and Pip thought that he was god. Pip followed Captain Ahab everywhere after that. After many days, Starbuck shouted at Pip that Captain Ahab was not god and he should stop following him.

The whalers are right, Fedallah can see the future.The next day, Captain Ahab was angry that no one finds the white whale and he throws the map into the ocean. Everyone is shocked, especially Starbuck because without a map they cannot sail in the sea.Starbuck wants the ship to turn back but Captain Ahab threatens him with his harpoon. At night, Starbuck goes into Captain Ahab’s room. Captain Ahab is asleep.Starbuck takes captain Ahab’s gun and looks at him. He says he can choose to kill him and then everyone can go home. Starbuck felt disappointed and returned to work. The next morning, Captain Ahab shouted for the white whale, and there he was, the largest and most dangerous creature in the ocean, Moby Dick. Captain Ahab was excited and promptly ordered his crew to retrieve the boat. But unexpectedly Moby Dick swam back into the dark water. Moby Dick appeared from beneath Captain Ahab's boat after four hours of waiting. Captain Ahab tried to fight him, but his harpoon was in the water and his whalebone leg made it difficult for him to move. The other crew members are unable to rescue Captain Ahab since the white whale remains to swim around him .Then, Moby Dick dived under the water again as the Pequod was going to hit him. Even after that terrifying incident, Captain Ahab never give up to kill Moby Dick.

He has to walk with a harpoon and  tries to motivate the men with his gold again but this time nobody dance and shout.Suddenly, Captain Ahab realized Fedallah was missing. He was not on the Pequod. A man says he has gone down with the rope. Captain Ahab's face went white, his eyes were large and black. He opened his mouth, but nothing came out. He swears to the ocean that he will kill the white whale.Then, Ishmael remembered what Fedallah has said to Captain Ahab. He said, "I will go first, I will show you the way.You will follow me from this world.”

All the men died because one man hated a whale.Rachel saved Ishmael's life and that's why Ishmael can tell the story to us and Moby Dick is still alive. He is out there now.

The water is going in to the ship. But, Captain Ahab still does not give up. Captain Ahab tries to cut the rope around Moby Dick's body but it pulls him out from the boat and  suddenly he disappeared. Evrything is hoing down including the Captain Ahab, the Pequod and Queuequeg after Moby Dick swims away. Ishmael saw Queuequeg's coffin and climn onto the coffin and it saves him. He stay there for two days and two night. Suddenly, Rachel saved Ishamael and the give him food, water and a bed.

Then Moby Dick went under the ocean, but he reappeared and attacked Captain Ahab's boat from beneath, causing the boat to break and the crew to fall into the ocean. Fortunately, everyone returns safely to the Pequod, but Captain Ahab has lost his whalebone leg. He must walk with a harpoon and keep encouraging the men with his gold once more, but this time no one dances or shouts. Captain Ahab was taken aback when he discovered Fedallah was not on the Pequod. A man says he has gone down with the rope. Captain Ahab's face whitened, and his eyes became big and black. He couldn't say anything. He pledges to the ocean that he will hunt down and kill the white whale. Then Ishmael remembered Fedallah's words to Captain Ahab that he would die first, and Captain Ahab would follow him from this world.
