Teachers will be informed of the Strength Squad through an informative email. Flyers will also be posted around the school informing students of the group.

4. Pre-group Screening

Flyers will be posted around the school informing students of the Strength Squad. It will explain the group and invite students to join through the counseling office.
Advertisement for group will be for students,teachers and staff to nominate a friend who could use the help and showcase activities involved.
Interest will be accessed at the very end of every activity. The participant will be asked if they enjoyed the activity on a scale from 1-5 and or what would have made it better.
The participants will be chosen based on need, eagerness to participate and whether they recently had a great need for support.

6. Ground Rules

Rules to group will be laid out beforehand. Students will be informed that group information is confidential and can not be spoken outside of the group. Students will be told that the group is beneficial and works only if everyone participates and is caring of one anothers feelings. They will be told that they will need to fill out a confidentiality form along with a parent permission form. If a student breaks the confidentiality rule they may be dismissed from the group.

7. Group Dynamics

Group will be united as a homogeneous group. They will share the commonality that they have been victims of bullying. Confidentiality will have been pre-established by group leader and signed forms of confidentiality.
Group members will grow cohesively by working in groups. We will be discussing what they have in common, how to heal and sharing positive feedback to one another as their confidence grows together.
Group members will review confidentiality rules and be reminded to continue to practice what they learned in the group.

Participative leadership would work best with this age group. One must lead but also scaffold what is expected (Cherry,2023). This age group also tends to be shy and self conscious of what others may think of them. Therefore, if the leader helps to participate they will be more willing and comfortable to join in.
