I honestly would not be friends with the main character. I am so sorry but I would not want to be friends with Roland mainly because he seems like a loser. Roland seems like the type of guy thats a goody-two-shoes, dreams of killing dragons and walking in his ¨superhero¨ grandpas footsteps, and gets bossed around by his best friend. I would be friends with the main character because she fights to protect the people she loves. For example in the story when two guards come to where she was training she fights the guard to protect Mama Agba which is a different character in the story. Even though she could have been sent to the stocks which is a place where people are sent for disobeying the king and they have to do a lot of hard work. They also are being starved to death while working. Also when she left her father unattended her brother had to tell her that we had to go save him so they went and they barely saved their father from drowning. But then the guards came again and they owed them tax pay. But they didn't have enough so they set out all night to sell stuff to get enough coin.

Yes, i would be friends with the main character due to the fact that the main character has many exceptional positive personalities. For example, the main character is encouraged to take care of their little sister alone, and would do anything to protect her. And, the main character is independent to do a dangerous job just to get enough money. Which means they are brave and independent. Even after all of the trauma they have gone through they still try their best. In conclusion, knowing that they are responsible and caring is a great trait and i would be friends with them because they have gone through so much.
