Tara, an American citizen who lived in Albany, New York and was visiting New York City at the time of this shocking, nation changing event of 9-11 occurred. 9-11 was an attack that the Al-Qaeda Afghanistan based terror group had as one of their goals to accomplish, 9-11 happened on the 11th of September 2001. Tara was evacuated from the ground floor of South tower before it collapsed after the plane had hit it, when they had heard a big loud bang and that was the sound of the terrorists attacking the tower with the piloted flight. Sharlee was an Australian tourist in America touring when her scheduled flight was the one hitting the Northern tower which was hit second but instead she was on the wrong flight that ended up getting grounded because all flights were instructed to land after the attacks just in case there were anymore attacks. 

Sharlee and Tara ended up getting to meet each other around the time of the attack and they were shaken by the event, the terror group Al- Queda was responsible for what happened as they took control of four flights when they didn't know each other but they were all apart of the Al-Queda group. The group was aiming at attacking the American Military but knew that they wouldn't be able to do that because it would be too difficult as the Military is one of the strongest in the world and they were also considering attacking the American president George.W.Bush Jr. "Hi, I'm Tara, are you okay?" asked Tara, shaking 
"Hi Tara, my name is Sharlee, I'm okay how about you" said Sharlee in devastation to Tara 
"yes Sharlee, I'm fine now that I've found someone that I can talk to and be around while I'm still in America" said Tara, upset 
those girls were school aged at the time of the event at the age of just 17 years old they were very lucky to have found each other although the fear of dying had the poor girls in fear.

The Emergency staff weren't able to save very many people from the burning towers as they didn't have very much time at all, some Emergency staff died trying to save these people who had been in that horrific event that remained in America's history. Tara and Sharlee remained friends after the attack and soon after Sharlee returned being able to share the terrifiying event of the Twin Towers and 9-11 as a whole considering that she wasn't the only tourist who was involved in the attack as 3,000 people/tourists died including 67 British tourists, Tara was very lucky to be one in twelve people rescued from the towers but after facing the trouble of arriving back to Australia and graduating Sharlee showed people that she was okay at home and then moved to America to travel the world with her newest Best Friend Tara. 

9-11 was horrible and an event that brought people together and/or closer but all up it was very upsetting and shocked the world and changed a nation (The United States of America), Tara and Sharlee we're happy to have had the chance to have met each other but sadly in a devastating situation, as soon as Sharlee's flight got grounded, she knew that she had to go and pay her respects to those poor tourists, emergency workers etc but was upset that the terrorists (the Al-Queda group) would do such thing to America although they probably wanted to be known for doing what they did or felt suicidal at the time but no one will know because they died during their planned attack but some people ended with a happy, successful ending being Tara and Sharlee. 9-11 changed many lives forever, ended many and made some better than others. 9-11 shocked the world and changed a nation being the United States.]]> 2018-10-17 04:41:28 UTC https://padlet.com/ella_matheson/m0okizg9fxz4/wish/293683789
