Everything Everywhere All At Once, which beat Avatar to win best picture at the Oscars,  has earned well over 100 million dollars despite the films roughly 15 million dollar budget. Compare that with James Cameron’s recent film, Avatar: The Way of Water, which cost a mindblowing 250 million dollars yet still fell short of best picture. These facts suggest that the academy and critics are tired of box-office juggernaut and are more moved by film’s that return to a more raw and honest form of filmmaking (Wilkinson).

Little do we see films of reality meshed with video like tendencies, which can lock a viewer in with the amazing animations due to the speech/actions bubbles and giving people video like super powers.

But, when I first saw Paris Paloma's music video for "Labour" on my best friend's couch, I felt a tear fall down my cheek. This wasn't something that made me sad, no. I felt rage. Rage for not just one moment, but a cumulation of them.
