Concept note

 The project aims to ensure equitable access to international learning by removing financial barriers and establishing inclusive mobility structures supported by diversified funding; to strengthen the school’s European profile through systematic curricular integration of EU-related themes such as democracy, human rights, sustainability, inclusion, multilingualism, and digital citizenship, combined with visible school-wide activities, EU institution visits, and active European citizenship learning; to improve learners’ foreign language competence through CEFR-based assessment, targeted preparation, online tandem learning, and immersive experiences at partner schools; and to build long-term, sustainable European school partnerships that combine EU-focused educational cooperation with a strong emphasis on sports-based intercultural learning, particularly through reciprocal winter sports activities and partner-led sports programmes, alongside collaborative projects, exchanges, and joint mobility activities that promote inclusion, teamwork, and intercultural understanding. The partnership development process will be initiated through partner school search activities at the TCA Valencia in June and participation in a British Council webinar in June, followed by formal project application submission in February 2027.

About our school

La Salle Saint-Charles is a private Catholic school located in Saint-Pierre, on Reunion Island (France), in the Indian Ocean. Our educational community includes students from lower secondary to upper secondary education, vocational pathways, apprenticeships, and higher education.

The Raymond Poincaré High School in Bar le Duc, France, is willing to build a sustainable partnership with a UK high school in order to compare the democratic life of our two countries or any other ideas. As it would be our first partnership, we wouldn't like to be coordinators but you can count on us to be at your side and develop a truly hand-in-hand collaboration.

The students have the choice of attending A-level English specialising in the English-speaking countries and their social, economic and political background (Anglais Monde Contemporain in French). No need to say they are highly motivated students.

Moreover, we have been involved in MUN projects for a few years now.

All the students have a personal laptop and communication would be easy.

About the school:

We are a wonderful senior high school with a dedicated staff and heads.

We are currently teaching tenth to twelfth graders aged 15 to 18 and we are looking for a partner located in the UK and willing to work with French students specialising in sustainability projects and active citizenship through the Model United Nations Club.

We are already involved in Erasmus + individual exchanges with Austria, Italy and Spain.

We would like to create a committed exchange programme with the UK.
