Weather condition: quickly moving clouds that covered and uncovered stars/planets constantly

• I could see a dozen planets/stars when I first went outside, but many got hidden by the time the app downloaded

• Jupiter was the brightest thing in the sky, Mars was the second brightest (and it was within Gemini)

  • I learned from UMBC astronomy night that four planets are visible at certain times right now

• Constellations: parts of the big dipper and Gemini

• It was somewhat frustrating trying to get this done because I ignored it for the first few days (I'm not used to doing homework in the evening), and then by the time I decided to do it, it was cloudy each night.

• Actually doing it was fine, and I think in future weeks I will pay more attention to the weather and try to get it done earlier.

• I was just getting home from school (after gym meet practice and a club meeting, so it was dark already), and noticed how clear the sky was... much easier than last week

• I love the cold :)

• Jupiter, Mars in Gemini, and Orion again

• Cassiopea was somewhat faint but many of its stars were visible. I had heard of it before but didn't know its shape.

• Sirius bright

• Parts of Leo, Auriga, and Perseus

• Perseus is my friend from UMBC observatory's name, didn't realize that Perseus is also a constellation

• W/ how random constellations seem I feel like it would be interesting to try to make a new set of constellations and see how different they can be from the commonly accepted 88

• Jupiter, Mars in Gemini, Orion, Cassiopea, and Sirius again

• Venus in the trees, almost didn't notice

• Procyon and Capella

• Big dipper pretty faint

• Moon very bright

• Why is this the first time I actually noticed the moon while out there? Was it hidden or do I just not pay attention? Anyway since it was so bright it probably made all the stars seem dimmer

• Saw a satellite, it stayed the same brightness (except when passing through clouds) and moved somewhat slowly across the sky

• I can finally notice that Mars has moved a little bit

• Betelgeuse was very red

• Most of the stars of Perseus

• 3 stars of Leo

• Moon very pretty through clouds

• The temperature was really nice

• I did not realize how consistent the time I go outside is

• Clouds move really quickly - the big dipper and orion were partially obscured and like two minutes later clouds were nowhere near them

• I think I saw a satellite again, weird that the first times I noticed them were two weeks in a row

• Noticed how red Beetlejuice and Mars were again

• Honestly I couldn't see anything at all BUT I can guess what was supposed to be up

• Jupiter, Mars, Big Dipper, Orion, Leo, Perseus, Cassiopeia, Sirius

• I kept telling myself I would to this later that day/night but forgot each time. Shoulda gone with the trusty write on my hand method.

• Earlier this week my friend was (pretend) judging me for wearing short sleeves when it isn't summer, and since it's now spring I can't even make the it's summer somewhere joke :((

• It really is cloudy a lot in Maryland - UMBC observatory is always complaining about that

• The days are getting longer!

• I was busy most nights this week so I couldn't get to doing this

• I forgot Arcturus existed, but now I remember being told that to find it you need to follow the handle of the big dipper

• It really does twinkle a lot
