We think that naming the defendants is vital in certain cases when public safety is at risk however we dont think they should release any names or information until they are 100% sure they are guilty of that crime.

If the courts are sure the person did it without a doubt they should be named, in Korea for example people who kill or are involved in assault cases tend to have their face blurred and identity not exposed unless it is a really high profile case

We think people should be named because that way if they are guilty they are publically acknowledged, but if not at least they can be proved innocent. Although, we don't think victims should be named because they had no choice in the matter, unlike perpetrators

naming a defendant before a verdict or conviction is brought before hem can be risky and dangerous. i agree that the current system of police naming suspects to protect the public or look for missing people is safe and crucial and should remain as the only instance one can be named.

I think naming victims is complicated. A victims family will always be associated with the death of their family member and thus wouldn't be able to mourn properly. However, by naming the victim, they are humanised and it could lead to greater justice for them and also stop further similar crimes
