Remember the 4 steps when completing long division. 
1. Divide
2. Multiply
3. Subtract
4. Bring Down 
5. Repeat
6. Nothing left? Remainder

**Every time we get to step 4, we repeat step 1 again!

**Sometimes we end up with a zero when we are dividing, and the zero then becomes a part of the answer at the top. 

**I know that page 310 looks like a lot! However, Saxon is showing you what to do, step by step. Do your best to follow along and do the steps on your paper as you read them.  

**It is ok if you end up with a zero in the middle of your problem. It just means that the number outside of the house goes into the number in the next step, evenly. You still have to continue until there is a number above each and every number in the division house.
