Irish dancing is very energetic and very complicated at the same time. While watching the performance, I was surprised at how fast they move their legs and how well they ~~hean~~ listen to the music. I (am delighted with) admire people who are engaged in dancing, because I understand how much effort and energy they put into it. I would really like to attend an Irish dance concert, or maybe even try to go
on to a master class. The dancers also have beautiful costumes and special tap shoes, I also don't understand how they beat the rhythm with them.

To be honest, I've never seen Irish dance before, that's why I was pretty amazed with it after watching. It seems to me REALLY fast and beautiful at the same time. I think__ it's hard (almost impossible), but I can see that someone can learn to dance it). Irish dance is еspecially breathtaking, when there are more than 5-6 dancers in performance. In this case you have an amazing opportunity to see a wonderful picture/pattern made of dancing people!
It's looks like actors are "flying" on/over a ~~scene~~ stage ! I loved Irish dance!

To tell the truth, the first time when I saw an Irish dance was on at our first lesson with Miss Kate. Before that I had seen dances in “Irish” style, but I haven’t thought about their names.
Don’t make a mistake about me ~~about me~~, but I didn’t enjoy it. I’m not a big fan of “Dancing world”, but this one is not my type at all. As far as I understood, dancers use only their ~~feet~~ legs with special tap shoes ~~putting~~ on. This looks like a good performance, but a lot of people are dancing (like a flashmob). SO? Why 'But' ? I would like to ~~say~~ speak here about my favourite dance style and then compare it with Irish dance, but, unfortunately, I don’t have any. [Instead ~~of it~~, I’m a big fan of some sport qualifications. For example, single figure skating, sport gymnastic, synchronised swimming ~~and so on~~/etc. That’s why I can’t professionally express my opinion in dancing , but in some technical elements in big sport - I can.]

Irish dances were created in ancient times. Such dances were very popular among druids. They performed them in a circle.
My friend who is engaged in Irish dancing, said that at first it was quite difficult to learn this style because there are a lot of jups and fractions, but over time it becomes much easier.
I like Irish dancing. It's energetic, fast, memorable and funny. Irish dances are popular nowadays. I am interested in this kind of dancing and I would even like to start going to classes, but I don't have enough time.

How I feel about Irish dance

Irish dance is one of my favourite styles of dance. And right now I will tell you with great pleasure why.

When I saw this style of dance at ~~for the~~ first time, it seemed to me very interesting and quite unusual.
I really like the charisma of the dancers. ~~She~~ ITmakes the performance unforgettable and makes me feel ~~a sense of~~ admiration and pride. I've wathed some videous on Youtube and fell in love with this type of dance.

Biography Nikolai Vasilyevich Gogol

Nikolai Vasilyevich was born on (the) 1st April, 1809 in the Russian Empire, and more specifically, in Sorochincy Poltavskaya province. His father, Vasili Gogol-Yanovskyi was a collegiate assessor, and mother - Maria Kosyarovskaya, had married him at ~~her~~ the age of 14 ~~years old~~. Dmitriy Troschinskyi and Vasili were friends, and they had made/organised a “home theatre”, where Gogol’s father had been writing some drama in Ukraine language.

Nikolai Gogol, who was the 3rd son in his family, factually was the 1st one, because his elder brothers were born dead. But in anyway, he had 4 sisters, and maybe this was one of the reasons, why Gogol was keen on Handiwork. We can give ~~a piece of~~ respect to his father, who was teaching Nikolai of how to write. When he turned 9, his parents ~~has taken~~ took/brought him to Poltava, where he was studying.

In December 1828 Gogol he started looking for a job. But he couldn’t find a job/one , because of his age. Fortunately, in 1834 he got a job of professor of World history in Saint-Petersburg’s University.

In June 1842 Gogol went to on a long voyage through many different countries, and only after 7 years he came back.

I think the best time for school to start is 10:00 a.m. By that time I will have had time to wake up properly and my head can think without being distracted by the urge to go back to bed. In ~~the~~ winter, when it is especially hard to get up in the morning because of the darkness outside (the window), it would be just fine to get up at 8:30-9:00 when there is already light outside/from the window. It would also be much more convenient to write tests for the first class at ten in the morning instead of eight. Even though school would end later, it would be better to get a good night's sleep and get up at ten (o'clock) am for school than to go there at eight o'clock in the morning, sleep-deprived and unprepared for a hard day.

For most people , school starts at the same time which is / it's 8-8:10 in the morning. For some it is convenient, while for others it is too early. I think this is not the best time to start classes____ but it is close to good. I think it would be worth starting lessons at about 9, since many students go to bed late, ~~respectively~~/consequently, they get up late, they can also oversleep. And/So the beginning of lessons at 9 ~~will~~/would allow children to either sleep more or do some ~~lessons~~ HOMEWORK in the morning. The most important thing now for students, especially teenagers is a healthy sleep, So the beginning of lessons at 9 ~~will~~/would also give children the opportunity to sleep____ and have time to do homework without harm to the body.

For example, for thirteen - sixteen year-olds (teenagers) classes should start a bit late____than they starts now. I think so____ because scientists proved____ that each age category needs a certain number of sleeping hours, which is bigger for teenagers than for smaller children or adults.

For me, the ideal time to start school is 8:00 am! Because you would have an incentive/a stimulus to get up earlier, and it would be a hundred times more convenient! Though I'm not complaining, because I can still sleep until 10 on weekdays!

I think that if the beginning of lessons at schools ~~will be~~ was /if lessons began at 9 a. m., it would be great. In that way students ~~can~~ could get enough sleep, even if they had to spend a lot of time on the way to school, for example, 1/an hour . Also school day ~~will~~ would end at about (2-)3 p. m. Due to this, students would have an opportunity to go for a walk, spend time with their friends, ~~make~~ do homework and (do something else)/some extracurricular activities.
I can also add an interesting fact about sleeping. When a person sleeps, melatonin, the sleep hormone, which is very important for health, is produced. This hormone helps us wake up in a good mood, have a lot of energy and have a very productive day. That is why I would be very glad and grateful if someone ~~will make~~ madethe school day start at 9 a. m.

Is doing a degree course is a waste of money? Do we really need it at all? Is it such a vital thing for those___ who is are dreaming about a career? Well, the answers on to these questions are not so univocal as you might expect, but I think "No" is the best for all of them.
According to statistics, only 36% of Russian graduates are working in their speciality/sphere and 40% said___ that they have never worked in it. As you see, the university degree is not a guarantee of a good job___ that will suit you. By the way, every fifth graduate simply did not find a vacancy in ~~his~~ their profession. It looks a bit sad(~~ly)~~, do you agree? Is an employee's degree really/so important for employers? As reported by hh.ru, only 30% of vacancies need(s) a degree, 58%, the majority, did not specify education requirement. I noticed___that every year since 2012 these numbers have been growing ~~only grow~~, so the degree topicality/relevance is getting less and less important. However, ~~the~~ a big number of graduates noted___that degree education gave them not only ~~abilities~~ skills specific to the profession, but some vital soft skills too. Thanks to it, it is easier for them now to contact ___/to communicate with people and ~~have a deal~~ to deal with employers. They admitted___that sometimes all ~~abilities~~ they use after graduation ( -) was communication skills and critical thinking.
To sum up I can say___that's all up to you (and up to your budget too, even if that sounds terrible). I'd highly recommend you to listen only to yourself, but nobody else. It's your life/choice!

Should the government pay for student's studies? I think so. Studying is an important part of almost everyone's life. Everyone goes/should have an opportunity to go to school and gets basic knowledge there , and then go(es) to colleges or universities to focus on their main sphere of interest. Most of them want to get a higher education, so they have to work long and hard in order to study (then) at the university for free. But some, even despite the hard work that was done ~~made~~, do not get in free education and (they) have to invest huge amounts of money to study at a university or college. And what should those who do not have the opportunity to pay for education do?

If the government cannot pay for its students' education, then it should be made free at all, so that everyone could get/acquire knowledge and then get a good job. People who have a desire to study cannot always pay for their studies, it sometimes makes the brightest minds disappear.

If the government is able to pay for people'seducation, then the money should not be wasted. Students should graduate from college or university to become good specialists, professionals in their field.

If the government pays for the education, then students after graduation will "move"/promote, in their turn, education, science and the economy of the country. Education should be accessible to everyone.

Should the government pay students to study at university or college ? Maybe it is worth paying only to those who study not for free? I have been thinking about it, and I think that students should be paid, but not everyone.
Such a training system has been introduced since (now) recently , only those who study well, get good grades and attend all classes are paid. I thought about the fact that it might be worth paying all students, but it would be not really good, because they would feel immunity, and they would completely stop studying and attending classes. People will stop getting/acquiring knowledge and become ~~absolutely~~ extremely lazy. Money for students, paid in form of scholarships, should be a motivation to get even more knowledge and not to drop out .
And what happens if you do not pay students, even those who study well? I think then people will again lose the desire to study . but most likely, students will not be interested in getting good grades and a lot of knowledge, because not all the material will be useful in life, and there will be no motivation to learn at all ~~all this~~ .
In conclusion, I want to say that the payment should not be very large, so that students do not lose their heads from a lot of money. My conclusion is that it is definitely worth paying students to ~~get~~ give them even more motivation to study, in addition to ?? higher education.

Should the government pay for student's education? I think yes. There are many students that cannot pay for their education. If the government ~~will~~ pays (!!!) for their education, some time later it will have lots of/numerous graduates that will work well and benefit the state.
That students will have more time to learn and will not have to work to earn money to pay the tuition fees/ for the university. If the government ~~won't~~ do not do this, it will lose lots/a great number of talented people. Some students that cannot pay for education would be doomed to search for a job that does not require education. That is why I think that the government should pay for student's education.

That's great that you are going somewhere from home! It's important to think about what to take with you/what to pack. The first thing, of course, is clothes.

Take a hat, a panama hat or a cap, so as not to get a sunstroke.
Take T-shirts, light shirts and shorts with you, otherwise you're going to get hot.
Take flip-flops and sandals so your feet don't get sweaty.

Also___there are other essential items. Think about these things:

A pair of sunglasses so that your eyes are protected from the bright sun.
Sunscreen, otherwise your skin will burn in the sun/you may get sunburnt.
A bag in which to carry beach accessories and other things.

First of all, I'm glad to hear from you again. It's wonderful that you are going to visit my country soon. (To be honest,) Now I'm looking forward to meet you! (~~According to your request T~~oo formal! ) I understood you need some help with your (baggage) packing, so I'll recommend you some things, which are vital for living in/visiting Moscow.
• Perhaps, as you know ~~there~~ it is quite snowy in Russia (It's winter, you see/know). Literally you can transform into a big snow-man here, so I'd highly recommend you to take ~~ook~~ some warm woolen clothes.
• Don't forget about some mittens, a hat and a scarf, because sometimes even two sweaters can't save you from the icy biting wind here :)
• Socks are also good things for our country, as you can become frozen without them.
• In Moscow moisturizing lipstick is also a useful thing, due to a low temperature. During the day your lips may be chapped.
• If you have forgotten your mittens or gloves, hand cream can ~~calm~~ soothe your skin and protect it from (the) cold.
• Take a thermos. You never know___when you will be thirsty)
So___that is all I can recommend to you. I hope you will enjoy Russia even with ~~it's~~ its harsh climate.

I know that you are going to the Maldives. Since I have been there 100 times already, I would advise you to take:
•a sunscreen, because the sun is very strong there and you may burn your skin very quickly, especially with your light and delicate skin
•a pair of swimsuits~~, is~~ will be enough for you, because they dry very quickly there.
• you will definitely need some books, because they are very pleasant to read /// to read them on the sea-shore is fascinating and useful.
•be sure to take a beautiful dress with you, because there are a lot of tinteresting places where you can go wearing it.

There's a tradition to make your own resolutions for the coming year, but I am skeptical about that thing. Therefore, I needed some time to think about that theme and my resolutions and, despite all difficulties, I made a little check-list on for this year that must be done until 2024 will comes.
Firstly, I hope I'm going to have more digital drawing practice during these 12 months, as I want to improve my skills in this matter. Secondly, I really want to pass all my OGE exams that year, as they make me nervous every day just ~~with~~ by the fact of their existence. By the way, one more goal (And the third one ) related to that topic is my attitude to exams. I would like to make them easier and be more ~~simple~~ at ease/relaxed about it them.
All in all, my goals are connected with studying and having more experience in drawing, that is why I'm going to do my best.

The New Year is a time of planning and dreaming. People often make wishes on New Year's Eve and hope for their fulfillment. I stopped making wishes about three years ago, but instead I started making plans for the coming year.
I'm going to do a lot of wonderful and useful things this year. The first thing I'm going/really determined to do is to pass my English exams and also to finish the school year with good marks. am I also planning//I also hope to read a lot and want to learn how to paint with watercolors. I'm definitely going to learn new tunes on my musical instruments, as well as learn/master the kalimba as best as I can. I'm also going to give up folk dancing this year, however my friend and I are going to take up fitness instead. But perhaps my most important goal is to prepare for the exams that await me in the eleventh grade.

I really love the tradition of setting goals for the new year because it allows you to track your progress in the future and also increases motivation for the whole year.
This year I have set several important goals for myself. One of them is preparing for the Unified State Exam, it which is very important for me to pass (~~this exam )~~well. The second goal is to start learning a new foreign language . I have not yet decided definitively, but most likely I will start Thai_because I am interested in both the language itself and the culture of the people who speak it. I also want to improve my drawing skills___ because I have a lot of ideas and (thoughts)/images that I, unfortunately, cannot implement, due to lack of knowledge/skill/mastery in this area.
There are several other goals, but they are not so important. I will fulfill them only if the goals written above are ~~done~~ achieved. In conclusion, I want to say that just setting goals is not enough, you also need to have the motivation and desire to fulfill them. without desire, you will not be able to achieve what you dream of)

Ellie and Jamie met in the pre-graduation class. They became friends/got like a house on fire almost immediately. It turned out that they were neighbors, so they often took walks in the woods near where they lived and talked about everything in the world. I don't really like the idea of making New Year resolutions. I think it is not really a good thing to do because if you want to do something then you can just do it. Also I don't want to say to myself that, for example, I learn English just because it is my new year resolution. I like to think that I (learn english) do it because it is important for my futurte job, a use~~full~~ful skill and just an interesting process. My opinion is if a person wants to do something or should do it , they ~~would~~ will do it. (( If he ~~don't~~ does not like the idea and it is not so important then ~~he won't~~ do that even with beautiful piece of paper with writings on it. But of course we are people and we are different.(It sounds very obvious and simplistic) Perhaps for somebody it is usefull to control themselves or we are speaking about really important things to do. In that case they write such list or just think about it and say: "Okay. I will do that. Why should I do that? Because I decided to do that and made a list of my new year resolutions." Maybe a person ~~can't~~ cannot stop smouking. He tried many methods to get rid of this bad habit but he still smokes regularly. That is why he wrote a list of new year resolutions and hoped that it would help. But personally I ~~don't~~ do not like making new year resolutions.

Nowadays social media is the most popular way to keep in touch with your friends and relatives distantly. Moreover, you have an opportunity to meet/make new friends, find people___ that have the same interests__ as you and exchange experience with them.
But is does it only helps people? Has it a "dark side"?
I can (not proudly) say, that I have some problems with communication skills. Besides, there are many such people. And sometimes there is no option for us except starting ~~find~~ to look for new friends exactly in VK, Telegram or Instagram. This is much easier than to have a dialogue/to communicate face-to-face. By the way, there are many situations___ when people overcame their fears thanks to social media!
On the other hand, sometimes social media literally can become the cause of an mental/emotional injury. For example, a person trusts to an "internet friend" too much and one day understands that on the other side of the screen is a criminal. In that case the (human)/individual can isolate themselvesfrom the whole society for a long time because of that traumatic experience with a fake friendship.
Nevertheless, if you are careful enough with strangers in the Internet, you will never ~~meet~~ face such a situation. As for me, chatting in a messenger is still the most comfortable and safe way to connect with the other people.

On the other hand, social networks are not always good. There are different opinions on the problem of friendship at school. Some people consider that school friends are the best thing(s) school can offer . There are also people who are sure that school friends are not interesting and very boring.
I personally think___that school friendship is fascinating and valuable. To begin with, you and your friend always have a (theme)/topic for discussing. The life of a teenager is very complicated. This is a difficult age in which you/one should expect a lot of problems. In this essay, I will look through/at several important issues related to teenagers.
The most common problem at this age is a misunderstanding between children and parents. In most cases, teenagers just want to seem/be perceived like adults and, therefore,/consequently, behave aggressively. Meanwhile, many parents impose their ideas on children without thinking that their child wants/may want something completely different. I think parents should talk to the child and support ~~him~~ them so that they feel(s) ~~his~~ their importance in life.
The next problem is bullying. Recently bullying has been one of the most common social problems in many teams, especially at schools and even in kindergartens. Hurtful words, thrown in a hurry or on purpose, can leave traces/cause a trauma. Sometimes parents are careless, however, ~~Their~~ a teenager's self-esteem depends on how parents bring up and how they (behave with) treat them. Although words do not leave physical injuries, they can affect mental and emotional health just as well . I believe that those bullying /who bully someone have a lot of problems themselves. A strong, free/confident and intelligent person will never do that. People offend the weak to prove to themselves that they are strong. This problem must be dealt with, as it can lead to terrible consequences in the future. Because of this, a teenager may become depressed, they will not be able to live normally.
In conclusion, I would like to say that every teenager has ~~his~~ their own problems, but in most cases they are similar. Teenagers have a lot of problems these days, and not some (?). I think every teenager has problems now, they may not be noticeable, but they greatly affect their moral and physical condition. (of children) Teenagers spend most of the day, week, month and, of course, year at school. Often this is the place from which the condition of children gets worse, because the load is too much/they are overloaded. But it is school that can help teenagers maintain a healthy moral state.
One of the most important problems I think is not understanding the material, since it is not equally easy for all children/students to understand and learn everything. I believe that ~~the~~ school can provide (children) them/such teens with extra hours/lessons at school with teachers, either individually or in a group . And during these hours/classes children will be explained the material in more detail , get some help in solving tasks, ~~and so on~~ etc.
The second problem, which I consider the most serious/pressing ~~strongest~~ is stress before most tests and exams. Teachers often scare/intimidate students with these tests, saying that they will not pass, that the material is difficult and (other things) ??? .
It seems to me that it is possible to soften the conditions for writing exams a little, not to put children under cameras, not to scare them before starting, not to scold/criticise them even for the slightest mistake, and to give at least some reference material that they will be able to use. Also___you can enter an additional lesson on preparing for such exams as the OGE and the EGE (National State Exam).
The third problem is conflicts with classmates and teachers. Here ~~the~~ school is the hardest to cope with, because as teenagers rarely talk about such things. ~~the~~ school cannot do much, but at least it can improve the attitude of people to each other.Conduct/Ethics conversations with students who bully others. A good solution would be to give small lectures to children in the lower grades so that they understand how dangerous cruelty is.
All these problems are very large-scale, and they are/can be seen in every school. But if you try/we do our best, there are great chances to make these problems at least a little less /distressing, to improve the conditions of the teenagers at least a little bit. If both adults and children work together, our life will be a little better.

Under the Tuscan Sun

Have you ever dreamed about waking up in your own villa in Tuscany? One of my all-time favourites is a romantic comedy-drama based on the memoir “Under the Tuscan sun” written by Frances Mayes. Its critically-acclaimed adaptation was directed by Audrey Wells in 2003 with adorable Diane Lane in the leading role.

When it comes to the story, it sets in San Francisco where a successful writer Frances is having the time of her life. In the very first scene we see a bright woman who is happily married and surrounded by loyal friends and admirers. However, soon she realizes how fragile her prosperity was. Not only does she face(s) the fact that their/her ~~couple~~ marriage is not a match made in heaven, but also she loses all her property after the divorce. A spontaneous impulse of her best friend to give her a ticket to Italy, which she accepts longing to ease her pain, leads to a spectacular journey.

Diane’s portrayal of the woman who slowly but steadily overtakes life’s obstacles/hardships, is very convincing. The picturesque views of Tuscany immerse us/the (watcher/spectator) in a tiny village, bathed in light . with warmhearted people who lead traditional humble life. The plot being far from gripping is still captivating and definitely moving.

If you are keen on romantic lightweight stories with happy endings or would like to ~~have~~ give a rest for your soul, this film is definitely worth watching. Still, I wouldn’t recommend it to people who are in search of unexpected twists of events/plot or a gripping detective story.

If you're one who is fond of sweet romance and likes spending time with easy comfort reading, so this marvelous book is for you.
This is a love story that starts with a blog. Julia has a neighbour,Cain,who seems a bit grumpy and very unfriendly guy. Every day they leave for work at the same time and have to share the same elevator (surprisingly but none of them has even thought to use/of using the stairs). Julia greets Cain with a shiny smile, but he just grunts at her and escapes from the elevator as soon as he can.The story begins when Julia's best friend ~~suggests~~ offers her to/suggests that she should kill Cain...with kindness and use this story in her blog. Firstly,this plan is doomed to failure,because Cain is so unassailable,but then something changes...
The contrast between two main characters is done/made/depicted/ presented most skillfully. Julia is a shiny, amiable and talkative person.It's difficult not to feel sympathetic to with this girl.And Cain... /As for Cain he is AN arrogant, always frowning and scowling and absolutely unpleasant at first sight type, but by and by we find out that there is no smoke without fire.
Despite the fact that the plot wasn't intricate and rather obvious/predictable, it has left a deep and lasting impression on me and suits for all ages /age groups of readers. I highly recommend this book to everyone who has been/got disappointed in true love or just wants to warm up on a cold winter evening.

Such bi-lingual and bi-national unions/couples tend to have some definitive advantages and disadvantages.

On the one hand, marrying a person of a different nationality and cultural identity may (enlarge)broaden one’s worldview, not to speak about the incentive for studying a foreign language that it provides. In the case of immigrants, starting a family with a local is a crucial step towards the integration into the society. Futhermore, a cross-cultural marriage is extremely advantageous for the descendants of such a union. Among the potential benefits are bilingualism, dual citizenship and open-mindedness acquired due to (the fact of) belonging to two different cultures simultaneously.

On the other hand, the spouses of different nationalities should be prepared to make more effort in order to achieve (the) mutual comprehension than those in a uninational /monocultural marriage. There is no denying the language border and the ~~unlikeness~~/difference/dissimilarity of the cultural background may engender various misunderstandings. Apart from that, a bi-national/cultural family requires that at least one of the partners should live in a foreign country, away from their homeland, friends and relatives, ~~that~~ which can be traumatic to some extent even though one is happily in love.

The incidence of intercultural marriage in the 21^st century is/has been steeply on the rise. More and more people are moving (head) around the globe and entering ~~into~~ romantic relationship with residents of other countries. Marrying a person of a different culture has several ~~pros and cons~~ . . . though. To be avoided in written langauge!

There are, undoubtedly, some benefits of a cross-cultural marriage. It broadens the/one's mind and gives the insight into the culture and traditions of other countries/the other country (?). It also becomes easier to relocate and put down roots in a foreign country if you/one marry/ies a person of a different culture.

On the (flip side) other hand , a cross-cultural marriage may become a serious challenge for both ~~in the~~ spouses. Full understanding of each other’s mindset is an essential element of a thriving marriage. Hence, fluency in a foreign language will be required from at least one person in a the couple (in question). Sloppiness/Inaccuracy/lack of precosion in the choice of expressions may offend one's partner or even cause complete misunderstanding. To complicate matters, one ~~in a spouse~~ partner might be unaware of cultural scripts/codes (?) which are customary for the other (partner). Disagreements over food habits or distribution of social roles, for example, as well as setting up housekeeping can lead to heated discussions.

On the one hand, this type of marriage helps people nourish their appreciation for diversity. In the long run, partners acquire patience and open-mindedness and enrich their lives with new insights. Moreover, cultural differences may even strengthen the bonds between people as they can always find the common ground in each conflict. In a broader sense, communication helps cross-cultural couples feel more connected so that resilience is formed.

On the other hand, being multicultural may sow discord in the relationship at/from the very beginning. Open or hidden disapproval of the society often puts a lot of pressure on the married ones/those married. Added to that is the inner tension between the partners and innumerable language or cultural barriers. The main reason for an intercultural (racial) marriage being, (hopefully, the love between the two, there are still other possible rationales not only to have/maintain such a relationship but also legalise it. Undoubtedly, any peaceful (?) contact with another culture is beneficial as it helps broaden our horizons, especially a contact this close. In an intercultural marriage, one’s mind is continually opened to different ways of life, which cannot but enhance the life experience of the person. Moreover, a cross-cultural relationship often implies the necessity of learning another language in order to communicate properly. Hence the possible bilingualism of the future children. The question/issue of raising children in such families is in general a broad one, but one thing is certain: they are to inherit both their parents’ cultures.

Such unions are called interethnic, intercultural or cross-cultural marriages, and might have both advantages and disadvantages.

Firstly, one of the main merits/benefits of interethnic marriages is that the spouses are getting to know each other's traditions, cuisine, holidays and other cultural assumptions. This helps one to broaden their horizons, become more tolerant and broadminded towards other people and ways of living that may differ from those accepted in one’s own country or family.
Secondly, in families where the partners are representatives of different countries and cultures, and therefore/consequently,, native speakers of different languages, children, as a rule, grow up bilingual. They learn at least two language systems from childhood, which helps them to develop their memory, analytical skills and may be useful in the future both ~~during~~ while travelling and for studying or working (prposes).
Moreover, learning a foreign language through live communication with a person with/of similar interests and world outlook might be also useful/beneficial for both spouses___if they decide to learn each other's languages.

However, there are some disadvantages in cross-cultural marriages as well . Considering that not always an effective and deep communication can be carried out in the absence of an intermediary language, at least one of the partners should learn and use a new language. Besides, communication difficulties may also occur in case the partners do not speak each other's languages perfectly or at a good level.
In addition, it is not always possible to easily decide where a married couple will take up residence; and then moving of one of the spouses to their partner's home country can become an issue, since the paper chase/ red tape and process of adaptation to a new climate, mentality and country can take long and be challenging.

In the current age dominated by social media it is easier than ever to connect and fall in love with people/a person from all around the globe and because of that cross-cultural marriages are becoming increasingly common. Such marriages can prove to be both very harmonious and very challenging.

Marrying a person from a different background than your own can be a great way to open yourself to new experiences and learn about other ways of living that you might not have heard of by, for example, learning how to cook traditional dishes or celebrating holidays from each other’s culture. Moreover, if a cross-cultural couple decides to have children, they/ the latter will have the advantage of being bilingual, which can be/prove (hugely) beneficial in their future life (for instance, while seeking employment).

However, cross-cultural marriages are not devoid of disadvantages, the major of them/which being what the anthropologists have dubbed “culture shock”. What is acceptable in one culture may not be acceptable in another and this/, which can lead to disagreements and misunderstandings within the couple. In addition, some cross-cultural couples face hostility from their in-laws(,) who would have preferred to see their child/offspring with a more conventional spouse from their own culture.

Globalization has largely influenced all spheres of our lives, including interpersonal relationships. An example of such changes would be cross-cultural marriages or, in other words, unions between individuals born and raised in different cultural environment.

Such unions have some undeniable benefits: they help people understand other cultures better and get rid of obsolete stereotypes and misconceptions which often cause prejudice and discrimination. Even simple conversations between partners about their daily routine or childhood memories can broaden their horizons and become a way both to acquire general knowledge and to strengthen the bond between spouses by getting to know each other better. In many cases at least one person decides to learn their partner’s native language and, as we all know, learning new languages improves one’s memory and creative thinking. Apart from this, cross-cultural marriages have more material and practical advantages. For example, in many countries the process of obtaining citizenship is faster when the person requesting it is married to a local.

However, the other side of the coin is the risk of possible misunderstandings and even conflicts due to stark differences in cultures, such as religious beliefs, moral values, ideas on raising children, or old habits that die hard. In some cases, the disagreements are so serious they could lead to a not particularly amicable divorce. Certain couples also have to face an important decision and choose where to move and start their new life as partners; this choice is not simple for everyone.

You asked me about preparing for exams. Well I've got some tips for you. Start watching reviews of exams that you are going to ~~pass~~ take. Try to make a plan based on the number of tasks that you have to ~~make~~ DO during the week. Sign up for a online course. There you can find lots of new information about your exams. I can recommend you some. If you will practice a lot* you will pass exams easily. By the way, you don't need to learn/revise theory at night before the exam. The impact of role models on people`s behavior is quite significant nowadays. Children look at celebrities on TV, news and social nets every day and try to mimic their actions, considering___that they would also like to become rich and famous like their idols. Buy are they really worth copying? Both texts discuss the nature of these concepts, but from different (sides) angles/perspectives.

The first passage argues that celebrities are bad/inadequate role models so that it seems rather weird that someone looks /would look up to them. However, obvious lack of talent, immoral behavior and bad habits cannot prevent them from having millions of adoring fans, who will mimic their actions, wear what they wear, even say/repeat what they say. So when a ((kid))minor sees ~~his~~ their role model smoking or drinking alcohol ~~in his head~~ they will/may think that if he is doing that it must be cool so I should try it. Reported Speech! But most celebrities think they have to exhibit bad behavior to get attention and it becomes their calling card.
Most of these troublemaking celebrities say it is the parents who are to blame for their ((kids)) children/offspring choosing the celebrities to be their role models ~~over~~ rather than their parents.

In contrast, the second text proposes that there are, in fact, many celebrities who can be considered worthy role models. They do not lead a luxurious lifestyle, support charity organizations and even suffer from their fame because their private life is always under supervision/in the public eye. Some celebrities can inspire others to imitate them through displaying (?) their values and goals. Many of them used to be ordinary people and could/managed to reach the heights with their perseverance and aspiration. The responsibility that these celebrities hold is very considerable.

In conclusion, just/ the mere fact of being famous does not make a person a good role model. The purpose of this report is to make students (and others in similar situations) aware of the importance of being responsible and respectful of people. We will also discuss what can be done to solve the problem.
Last week there was a trip to the estate museum of a famous writer. The bus was supposed to leave at 7 a.m. sharp, but because of the latecomers, it had to be delayed. There were some who had not told/warned (anyone) they were not going at all, so the teacher had to call them and ask where they were. It took a very long time. The teacher (had to worry) was worried because he did not know where the students were, ((~~He didn't know~~)) if they were late or if something had happened to them. Because of this (everything that happened), the group had to spend less time at the museum and they also did not have time for lunch.
So how can such a problem be solved? Because of/Due to the unpunctuality and disrespect of a few people, an/the entire group has suffered. The purpose of this report is to show students how important it is to take responsibility for themselves. Due to the mistake of a few people, the plans of the whole group collapsed/ were ruined.
One day, a group of students gathered to go on vacation to another city (with the whole class) on a school trip. The Silence of the Lambs is a psychological thriller ((film)) directed by Jonathan Demme, starring Anthony Hopkins and Jodie Foster. The film is based on the novel of the same name by Thomas Harris. Good Intro!

The story follows/portrays/features a FBI trainee Clarice Starling, who is tasked with interviewing Dr. Hannibal Lecter, a brilliant psychiatrist who is also a cannibalistic serial killer. She hopes that he will provide her with an insight into the crimes of another killer, Buffalo Bill, who has been abducting and murdering young women. Their interactions become/are becomimg increasingly intense as Starling navigates the challenges of her investigation while dealing with the manipulations of Lecter.

The film is a masterpiece of suspense, with Hopkins delivering a chilling and unforgettable performance as Dr. Lecter. Foster is equally impressive in her role as the determined and vulnerable (Starling) Clarice. The cinematography, music and sound design all contribute to the intense atmosphere of the film, as the audience is drawn into a dark and dangerous world. Wow.

Overall, The Silence of the Lambs is an unforgettable film that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end. It is a masterful exploration of the human psyche and the lengths to which people will go to capture the truth.

"Children of the sea", (the author of the) a manga by Daiske Igarashi, was created by one of the followers of Hayao Miyazaki. The one who filmed Daiske's creation was Eiko Tanaka.
The first day of the summer holidays for Ruka (the main character) does not work out. The girl does not want to stay at home with her drinking mother, so she goes to the aquarium where her father works. There she meets an unusual boy, Umi, who was discovered 10 years ago with his brother Sora near the Philippine coast. They grew up in the sea, they were raised by dugongs and are now being explored/studied by (the) scientists. At this time, marine life around the world begins to behave strangely, oceanographers are expecting a kind of marine festival, and Sora shows Ruka meteorites falling into the sea. Summer promises to be interesting.
This anime has an incredible style of drawing, as if it was drawn by hand/ using a pencil and not by a computer. The flickering of plankton in the waves, the songs (??) of whales and the dances of colorful fish in the water column, a clear night in the middle of the ocean, when the stars are reflected in the water surface and it seems as if you have entered space* (. It all looks) look stunningly beautiful.
The music for the anime was written by Jo Hisaishi, the composer of many anime films by Hayao Miyazaki. The music/soundtrack adds a special atmosphere to many moments.
I would recommend (everyone ?) to watch this anime, but it is not easy to watch, there is/involves both drama and philosophy, so there are many topics worth thinking about.

The house of the old is a place where elderly people live, they are cared for by volunteers, like Jonas and his friends , Asher and Fiona .From the people living in the house of the old, we know Larisa (personally) and Roberto (indirectly, from the conversation), who has just passed the ceremony. We are not told (from) at what age people get into the house of the old, but I suppose after 40-50 . Each room is comfortably furnished, the floors are covered with thick carpeting. It is a quiet place, it is not busy as the other places in the community are . People there were all dressed the same, in a robe with the name tag on it.

It is more suitable for me to go riding on Sunday, because on Saturday I have to visit my special extra classes, while on Sunday I could be all yours.

The aim of this report is to describe the forms of public transport available in my area and suggest how they could be improved.
In my area, public transport primarily consists of buses and Moscow Central Diameter(MCD).
There are a huge number of buses with all kinds of routes throughout the city. How many?The price of travel is small, and this makes this type of transport affordable for most citizens.However, unfortunately, buses are not very environmentally friendly ((for nature)) Not necessary , which greatly pollutes the air throughout the city.
The Moscow Center Diameter service is efficient and connects the suburban areas to the city center. It is worth expanding the metro so that it reaches not only the nearest cities/towns, but also many that are further away.
To improve public transport ~~I think~~ it would be worth introducing a cashless payment system, as well as more comfortable waiting areas.
To sum up, I strongly reccomend to make lanes exclusively for buses to avoid their delays in the schedule, as well as creating traffic jams.

I am writing to express my disappointment about the experience I had at your restaurant last night.

To begin with, I had (eagerly) been looking forward to the musical show that was supposed to take place at your restaurant.. However, upon my arrival, I was informed that the concert had been unexpectedly postponed.

Then I decided to enjoy a meal. Unfortunately, ~~it seems that~~ not only was the musical concert delayed, but the quality of your service and food also disappointed me. The main issue is that the waiter brought me ~~the~~ an entirely wrong order.

A little mistake

It was only a small mistake but it changed my life. It was an average Friday. I was coming back home from school. On my way I met my/an old friend, once we were classmates, but then I went to the 11th grade and she went to college. We had a small talk, and she invited me as a model for her photo project. I did not listen to her well/properly, and I thought she asked for help with finding another person and agreed, but ~~after~~ later/afterwardsI found out that I would/was supposed to be the model.
We started the next day. at first everything went terribly , I was shy, I did not know what poses to take . The/My friend was already/started thinking that she would have to look for another person/model.I was ashamed of myself. But I decided to go all the way, even if everything turned out to be a failure. After a couple of days we shot everything we needed. tThe shots turned out to be wonderful, everyone liked it them. (!!)
Thanks to this little mistake, I gained a lot of self-confidence, began to be interested in photography, began to understand better how I look and dress myself .

There is no denying that sports on television has become a regular part of our lives. However, there is an opinion that there is too much sport/of it on TV/television.

First of all, it is important to ~~note~~ mention/list/name the positive aspects of sports programs. Television gives us a shared experience, bringing us together as we gather in front of our screens to support our/the favorite teams. Sport also inspires young people, encouraging them to exercise more.

Nevertheless, ~~the~~ a large amount of sports on television creates a number of problems. Firstly, it distracts people from other forms of entertainment. Instead of learning about educational programs, we are constantly watching sports reports. Also the constant presence of sports on television can lead to the (appearence) promotion of a lazy lifestyle, as a person is more enjoying watching TV than doing physical activity.

In conclusion, although sports on television has positive aspects~~qualities~~, there is an argument to be made that there is too much of it. It is important for people to find a balance between enjoying the excitement of watching sport and having a healthy lifestyle.

Recently, I got into the world of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and I can confidently say that it has raised the bar for what a computer game can achieve in terms of gameplay.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, made by CD Projekt Red, is a masterpiece that combines breathtaking visuals, an open-world and an engaging storyline. Stepping into the boots of Geralt of Rivia, a professional monster hunter, you enter a morally complex world filled with fantastical beasts. Wow.

The attention to detail in the character design and atmospheric effects showed the level of those, who was creating the game. The Witcher presents a complex narrative filled with interesting/challenging quests, political intrigue and unforgettable characters.

Moreover, the world of The Witcher 3 is vast and alive. The open-world design encourages exploration, with hidden treasures and side quests. The gameplay is accompanied by a breathtaking soundtracks that perfectly captures the game's atmosphere.

Dear Editor,

I am writing in response to the call I saw in the magazine seeking books which reveal stories of a character who successfully resolves the problem. I think I can suggest something you might find suitable. The book I have in mind that fits your request perfectly in my opinion is Bridge of Clay by Markus Zusak.

To begin with, I would like to give a brief description of the main character and his circumstances. Clay is one of the five Dunbar brothers whose father deserted them after their mother had died of cancer. The boys felt abandoned, had to take care of themselves and referred to their father as “murderer”. Clay is a sensitive boy, among his brothers he is the one who bore the weight of the loss the hardest. One day his father comes back home asking for help Clay agrees despite being accused of betrayal by his brothers.

His father wanted to build a bridge between his remote place and the city, which I perceived as a metaphor for a way to mend the relationship with his sons which seemed to be broken after so many years of distancing. Clay (which is also a name for a material a bridge can be built of) with his attention to details, love for storytelling and an open-hearted personality managed to connect not only two places, but also family members and events of the past and present.

Eventhough his life is full of continuous tragedies Clay came to terms with it. Readers all over the world can relate to his story because unfortunately a lot of children do not have the privilege of having both parents around and the pain this rejection leaves might feel unbearable. Clay is an example of humanity and care at its best.

I hope you will take this information into consideration before making your final choice for the review. I’m looking forward to reading the next issue!
