Apple depends on foreign companies to produce their product. They depend on two companies called  Foxconn and Pegatron. They depend on China and the market in America.

For example, in the ad for an Apple Watch, in the American and French version there was someone with tattoos. They took this out for the Japanese version. In a more recent commercial, a gay couple was shown. This was not in the German, Japanese, Turkish, or French version. It was in the American, Canadian, and Australian commercial. At the same time, Apple's attitude towards adapting to their customers is, "Customers adapt to apple, apple does not adapt to customers." They think that people do not know what they want until they see it and Apple "is the culture".

It is easier to trade because there are no laws or restrictions to get around to trade with the other people.There is more opportunity to grow in economic aspects. The cons of free trade are that there are not protections for theft. Free trade also reduces revenues.  

Fair Trade is trade in where fair prices are paid to producers in developing countries. The pros of fair trade is that companies have protections while trading. The cons of fair trade are that the companies get a large percentage of the money and there is not a lot of profit left.
Apple has a fair trade, to protect the billions of dollars of product that is imported all over the world. 

I think both types of trade have benefits, but I think that fair trade is better.
