Worshiping is easy to do where I live and I can go to church and feel safe.

I can shop where I will not be followed or harassed & my form of payment is accepted.

I love shopping and I have never had an issue with payments. Even when I am $2 short they trust me to come back with payment.

MOST OF THE TIME I can find my preferred kinds of food, clothing, hair solons, hair products, music, etc.

My hair is curly and frizzy which makes it hard to find the exact product I am looking for. However, most of the time I have no problem with buying hair products, clothing, food ect.

I can SOMETIMES find people like me portrayed positively on television, in the movies, in songs, etc.

Just brain storming a movie, I can not think about one that an actress looks like me. So that is why I said sometimes.

It is rare when I find posters, toys, dolls, greeting cards, etc., that show people like me.

I am brown skin with curly black hair, and light brown eyes. Growing up I use to love Barbie dolls, and I never owned a Barbie doll that was brown or black because it was a rare to even find one. Now brown and black dolls exist but are controversial.

I can find people like me portrayed positively in books, etc.,about our nation & history.

My ethnicity is Mestizo, Which I am proud of. I can find information about my culture online and in our nation of history. I also got the chance to represent my culture in a beauty pageant.

I can SOMETIMES find people like me in most textbooks & teaching materials.

In the past, most of my teaching materials had pictures of white people only. This is also evident in educational videos. However, as I furthered my education, especially in Social Work, I am now seeing variety of different ethnicity.
Below is a test I did, I researched educational videos for 10th graders. Every person is white. This is a print screen to prove it:]

I can say what I want about people & be accepted by the people around me.

Even though I can say what I want, I choose not too, just because I am not like that. I prefer to keep some things to myself. I do find myself being accepted by everyone though.
