Oktober 1810 wegen der Hochzeit von Kronprinz Ludwig und prinzessin Therese. Das Fest war im Stil der antiken Olympischen Spiele veranstaltet.
 Seit 1872 beginnt das Fest schon im September, weil das Wetter im Oktober schon kühl ist. Ende des Festes ist der erste Sonntag im Oktober.
