I'm usually up for anything and I'm always open to hearing others' opinions. This may have developed from being around an easy going family. This being said, as I read about myself in the personality inventory, my need to want to be alone was a pretty high number and although I really like being with people I know very well, I do enjoy my alone time.

I always try to find a more fun alternative, and I love trying new things. I like being active and seeking things out of the ordinary. This trait stems from being around adventurous people. I scored highest in the "Belonging" category and I think that's because I always want to be where the action is.

I tend to not worry about the future or dwell on things that happened in the past. This is good and bad because I pay attention to the task at hand but I also pay not as much attention to the consequences. This quote from "Almost Famous" represents living in the moment. My dad and I used to always watch coming of age films together and a recurring theme in many was the characters living in the moment. The future is only present in my unconcsious. I think this can relate to Maslow's heirarchy. I don't think I've achieved the esteem level and until I do, I can't realize who I am and who I want to be, what purpose I want to fulfill. I can't discover my self-actualization before I am fully secure with my confidence and respect with others.

Id vs Superego

I think the biggest "guilty pleasure" that the id is driving me towards is probably social media. So the id in this case would be my phone because it sucks me into the twitter world where I can spend hours achieving nothing. The superego would have to be my parents since they force me to do things like homework, church, and encourage me to play sports.

In the Locus of Control I scored a 5. I feel like I have a strong grip on my life. I control most of what happens. I think this quote by Charles Swindoll represents how you really control your own destiny. Attitude is everything, and your response to what happens to you and the actions you take are what makes you, you. Living by this quote is what has made me the leader of my own life.

This is a movie by Casey Neistat, one of my favorite film makers. I like this film because besides his style of film making, he also embodies a great work ethic that I admire that isn't seen in this video. However, I like this one of his short films because it tells a fun story.
