Sexuality

It includes the way in which the media, family, friends, religion, age, life goals, and our self-esteem shape our sexual selves. Additionally, it also includes the way humans sexually orient themselves as homosexual, bi-sexual, heterosexual etc.

In this society most men belittle women because they believe that the women are weak minded and not intelligent enough to have a say. In the Caribbean most patriarchal families are East Indians, where the father brings in food supplies, house tools etc.. and the mother is the caretaker in the household. For instance, most times the fathers, pass their role of power down to their sons rather than their daughters. It is not just the reverse of  Patriarchal, it is more described as mothered-centered societies. Furthermore, Matriarchal societies are consciously built upon these maternal values and motherly work, and this is why they are much more realistic than patriarchies. So, in matriarchies, mothering – which originates as a biological fact – is transformed into a cultural model. The researcher chose to use the song created by Mr. Vegas featuring Latty J. the researcher mainly focused on the chorus, which is "Ah man rule no woman cah tek me fi fool, mi wear the pants inna d house ah mi rule; Woman rule, no man cah tek meh fi fool, mi have mi education  mi go ah good school!" also " Ah mi run things and mi nah stop say so, no matter what the argument, ah God set it so", "Woman run things and mi nah stop say so, remember is a woman yuh born from inna!"
The both argue that they are superior over one another.

Belize is among 11 Caribbean countries that have anti-sodomy laws where men can face up to 25 years or life imprisonment for having anal sex with other men. Almost half of the countries have laws that prosecute women for having same- sex relations, and at least two have immigration laws that ban gay people from entering the country- Jamaica and Trinidad.
For instance, Trinidad and Tobago- neither male nor female same-sex relationships are legal in the country and are punishable by up to 25 years imprisonment. However the laws criminalizing LGBT community are rarely enforced except when paired with more serious offences such as rape. In the video, Lady Saw portrayed herself as a "Hyper-sexual Jezebel", this word carries a negative connotation , stating that women are tempests in a sexual sense/Homewreckers.
