Zebra Salsa is a famous restaurant located in three places in Hsinchu. One is even across the street from the backdoor of HGSH. Students often have get-togethers there. Zebra sales a variety of American and Italian food, including hamburgers, sandwiches, quesadillas, and pasta. When you step into the restaurant, you can see clean tables and chairs placed nicely. The waiters and waitresses take orders patiently. While eating, you can feel a very comfortable atmosphere surrounded by light music, making yourself in a good mood. The restaurant is filled with tasty smells, such as grilled and roasted smells from hamburgers or taste of seafood from spaghetti. Indoors are usually with air conditioners on, so you don’t need to be worried about sweating. The food there is tasty, all the meals are delicious. How nice this restaurant is! The store is small but cozy,cats will run next to you .

The food here is exotic. I've tried spicy fried chicken sandwiches, garden mushroom brunch platter and cranberry tea before. The sandwiches are very thick, the breakfast platter is a bit expensive,recommend to share with your friends.The cranberry tea is my favorite, the aroma is strong but the sweetness is moderate.

Although there are cats in the store, the environment is very comfortable and clean, there is no cat odor, and you will not feel uncomfortable when you eat.

Seedhouse is a super small restaurant which is near HGSH, you can go to have a good lunch there. It serves Japanese food like ramen and mochi. A specialty of the store is that they provide only vegetarian cooking, which is friendly for me.

Moreover, if you love cats, the restaurant is definitely what you have to give a try! There is a cat boss in the restaurant, which you can see on the poster. By the way, the cat isn't afraid of people, sometimes I am even scared by itXDDD.

The restaurant is too small to accommodate more than 20 customers, so you have to place an appointment before eating there.

There's always Japanese music, arts, and even a bar in the restaurant.
So if you want to experience the Japanese mood in Hsinchu, that'll be what you love!

This place is located in a remote area.Maybe there's few people who have arrived here.but if you like nature and different creatures，or experience a day without restraint，and you wanna feel the taste of wild，you must visit here.

If you don't know what to order，here's some recommendations:Pork stew with shoots,Trout fish soup, sashimi,and Fry fish with basil and garlic sauce,which I like the most. You'll notice how crunchy and savory it is when you take a bite of fried fish. The sashimi is quite fresh，and the trout fish soup contains an extraordinary smell of spice.

Maybe you'll never like an occasion filled with noise，because the restaurant is indeed a little bit noisy. Especially on Saturday，when aboriginals usually gather together to gossip about something. Double star tempura is located near the east gate.Becase it is just a snack bar,the dining environment is not so upscale.Actually,it is a bit noisy there.
Although the environment is not so satisfying ,the smell of the food is.It always can attract me when I pass by.The dull appearance of tempura may not be appetizing,but it is the brown sauce that is the spirit of this dish.This sauce makes it taste sweet but not greasy.Trust me,you will want more after trying it!

This is a Chinese restaurant which provides breakfast.

It sells many kinds of Chinese breakfast.Such as clay oven rolls,egg pancake roll, pan-fried stuffed bun,and soy milk. Pan-fried stuffed bun is my favorite among all!!! I am interested in every kind of breakfast according to Chinese breakfast. The only Chinese breakfast I eat is this one!! It’s my true love !<3
Pan-fried stuffed bun really taste great in their breakfast shop.Its inner stuffing smells really nice. You’ll become hungry after you smell it. Their pan-fried stuffed bun’s color is definitely perfect. You can see the golden bun under the sunlight, it looks beautiful and delicious!
When you line up to order the food, you can hear the sound that pan-fried stuffed buns on the pan are all ready to start wriggling and want to hop out the pot!

This restaurant sells normal Chinese food like beef noodle soup, pork donburi, and diverse side dishes. It is located near my house even my junior high school.

The restaurant has an antique flavor look, and it is always a long line here. Each would be fascinated when going by because of its strong smell of delicious food.

The soul of the restaurant's signature dish, beef noodle soup, is salty and a little bit spicy. It's a wonderful place for hardcore. Not eating too spicy food, you can order a series of no garlic menus. It'll be less spicy.

They are many delicacies next to Dongmen Elementary School, and today I would like to introduce the Love Eggcake, which located in the small alley next to the elementary school.

Love Eggcake sales a variety of flavor of egg pancakes, such as chocolate, vanilla custard, peanuts, mochi, brown sugar mochi, cheese, corn.The first time I visited,I bought the brown sugar mochi flavor, the sweet tasty and the rich taste made me feel joyful, leaving a pleasant aftertaste in my mouth.

This is a Cat café ，the biggest highlight of this cafe is their 24 cats，every cat has their own story and charisma, when you walk into the store，you will get lost in it.

Located in Zhubei, this Thai restaurant means a lot to me. To be honest, it's just another Thai restaurant, really...Thaiish, but, being an ultimate Thai food lover, I don't think I need any reason.

The food there is just amazing. I had been to Thailand once, though it's not really comparable, but it's still delicious. Every dish there tastes just right, not too spicy( the food in Thailand is SUPER spicy), not too sweet, I could say it's the best restaurant for Thai food beginners. Just like the pictures I put, they look really good. Some food might look bad but taste good, or looks bad and tastes bad, their food looks good and tastes even better. The environment is also bright and clean:)

The second you step in the restaurant, the smell of delicious Thai food immediately rush to your nose, making you salivate. Oh, and it doesn't have the smell of cockroaches;) Lastly, though it dosen't play music(not in my knowledge), but don't you think the sound of human chatter is really comforting? It's usally not too noisy there, unless you met loud customers....Anyways, it is always welcoming.

Initially , it was a cake store which originated in Xionglin , and it called Xin Meizhen . Cakes they made look like pudding , so the cake named pudding cake . Back in the 40’s and 50’s , pudding cake used to be the last dessert of the banquet . As the time went by , the store changed their location to Taipei,Taichung ,Chubei and ameliorated the flavor to soft and moist .They even change their name to beome popullar in several city . When you buy their cake , you will find that the cake always pack with only a plastic bag and a carton , also , the cakes are selled without decorate . Simple package and decoration enable customers to try the simplest taste . Cake is a kind of dessert that suitable for children and elderly . It is one of the snacks for us to choose after school . Maybe you can give it a try next time .

OR Veggie is a vegan restaurant in Zhubei, Hsinchu. It is located in Hsinwawu Hakka Culture Conservation Area. On the first floor of "OR" building, there is a bookstore with an exclusive book-organize system, aesthetical goods, and relaxing reading space.

OR Veggie is on the second floor. It provides Hakkanese, Chinese, Japanese, and Italian vegan cuisines. The idea of creating this vegan restaurant was because some of the co-founders of "OR" are vegans. They felt that finding a delicious, unique vegan restaurant in Taiwan was very hard. Therefore, they decided to create an environment-friendly, healthy, natural, high-quality, and special vegan restaurant. It is the restaurant that I have visited for more than 100 times I think.I believe that every one who lives in zhunan knows this place.
It don't have a big signboard to let people know that there is a every scrumptious stinky tofu here, but it is always filled with consumers, not only people who are having dinner there but also some who are waiting for there order to go.

When you hear carefully, you will hear some of them are talking about there family ,others are discussing about their work.The environment is very comfortable and lively.

When we comes up with stinky tofu, you can't not thinks about its impressive smell.It just smells like the stinky sucks.Despite its stinky smell, it tastes super delectable.While you first bites the tofu, the juice inside will be squirted out, and the crunchy surface makes it even more wonderful.Although it is wonderful enough, the Taiwanese kimchi besides even takes it to another level.You will probably know what I am talking about when you give it a try.

ChenShui Bakery is a cute little dessert shop in vintage style. It is located in an old alley in Qionlin, Hsinchu.
The frontdoor was coverd by lots of different plants which make it not very eye-catchy. But inside the bakery is uniqe: various collections, retro decorations...you can even see a lovely toad there.
The products there are awesome. Fresh fruits are their main feature. And the high quality keeps old customers.

It is located next to the East Gate Traffic Circle .Its signboard which is big and red is very conspicuous . Not too far from the Hsinchu train station.

Many people come to Hsinchu to taste the chicken rice in this diner. It is also a favorite diner of the local people. When it comes to meal time, it is full of people.

First of all, the signature chicken rice ,which is a heavy bowl of white rice with dried bamboo shoots,four pieces of chicken and shallots.The oily yellow-skinned chicken is quite delicious and delicate.Even the chicken breast is quite soft and tender.Dried bamboo shoots are cooked with fresh shredded bamboo shoots. This restaurant which located in Toufen City has opened since 2017.When you get into it, you can hear different kind of pop music, and the relaxing vibe is great!

It’s signature dish is a wide variety of Japanese curry rice. Brown curry, golden egg, red ketchup and emerald green cucumber slice make the dish looks wonderful. When you put it in your mouth, you’ll feel a bit sweet and perfect taste of it. For me, it has a unwavering place in my heart. That is a reason why I buy it for dinner every week.

In addition to curries, it provides other kinds Japanese food like donburi ,miso soup, karaage chicken...etc, each of them is cheap and delicious. You should give it a try!

The ice shop provides the traditional ice pop with lots of flavors and the smoothie only with little sweet taste. If you don't live in Chudong, there's little chance for you to know this place and find it. I recommend going there by car because the parking lot is really big. You don't have to worried about there's no place for you to park your car.

My favorite ice pop flavor is milk, adzuki beans, and the normal. There's also special flavors like plum, pineapple, passion fruit and so on. As you can see, most of them are made of juice, so you don't have to worried about if there is unhealthy substance in it. Of course, there's no smell with it. When you have a bite of it in a hot day, you may feel like walk on the air.

When sitting down and ready for your ice pop, you can see a jar of salt on the table. Don't be confused about it. It is for the customers to add salt in the normal smoothie. I think everyone should give it a try because it has a special taste.

The restaurant is located in Zhubei.The reason why I recommended this restaurant is that it’s really gorgeous of its decoration meanwhile the food is amazing.If you ever have chance to visit this restaurant, but don’t know what to order, I like to introduce tp you their pizza. It’s not the same as those pizza stores’ .It’s really thin and crispy. When you take the first bite of it, the cheese will give you a big surprise .

If you are a western food lover, you must will be fascinated by this restaurant.

But there is a weakness, it’s better go there with your family because of its high price.

The time it opens is 11:30-16:30

This food stall is located near Hsinchu Station, about ten minutes walk away. If you come to Hsinchu by train, it's easy to get here from the station.

Although the shop doesn't even have a signboard,the shop is always full of customers. A lot of people join the queue.
It's bustling with noise all the time.

The environment of this store is not like a high-end restaurant, but it is very close to our daily life. It looks like a house that has lived through history.

Whenever you pass by , you'll smell a strong fragrance.That's from the stall's products——meat balls(肉圓),thick soup(羹湯),and pork ball soup(貢丸湯).My favorite food in here is the thick noodle soup with pork(肉羹湯麵). It's so delicious that I order this dish every time!The sourness of the black vinegar, the saltiness of the soy sauce and the slightly sweetness in the dish bring this next level!
