"Just Walk Out" technology is sensor- based technology that determines when you enter a store, pick up an item, place it in your cart, and leave the store. It is detrimental to cashier's jobs because the technology is used to replaced cashiers at supermarkets by determining if you paid before leaving the store. This could be a privacy issue by recording every customer's face, and it prevents people from using cash when checking out. This is important because it shows technology is affecting our retail workers in a negative way. We have 3.5 million cashiers in the U.S. today, which could cause lots of people to lose their jobs.

Grocery stores created by an Amazon that utilize technology to track when a person enters the store, places an item in their cart, and checks out. There are no employees within the store, and when you check you you are automatically charged to your Amazon account. This store also provides almost any good one needs, which is harmful to convince store industries, grocery industries, and fast food outlets.

Getting rid of cashiers allows more people to help with the labor aspect of the grocery store by packaging meals and restocking merchandise on shelves. This techongoly also makes it t much easier to purchase goods because you don’t have to worry about carrying cash with you. When you leave the store, the sensor-based technology is used to automatically charge your Amazon account.

Amazon is an online retailer, in where you can purchase goods and services that it delivered to your home. They have a wide range of products, including food, clothing, toys, streaming services, and now grocery stores. This is important because it shows how we can purchase almost anything from Amazon, which is harmful to small businesses that are unable to compete with Amazon’s immense success.

A Monopoly is when a larger corporation faces little to no competition in the market. For instance, Amazon serves as a monopoly for the online marketplace. Amazon initially started out as an online bookstore but then continued to expand into something more. By 2015, it became more widely used than Walmart, and in March of 2018, it became the third-biggest company in market capitalization. This is important because Amazon’s success is harming small businesses.

Jeff Bezos established Amazon and he is one of the wealthiest men in the world. This is important because it shows how one person is able to monopolize the entire online market.
