Singapore is an isolated island country that has been home to previous meetings between world leaders. The main topics of discussion for the two leaders will be Nuclear Weapons in general, nuclear weapon testing, as well as peace between the two countries. June 12th is set to be a historical day in modern history!

The two leaders will be discussing the nuclear weapons that have been obtained by North Korea. North Korea has fought vigorously to obtain a fairly respectable amount of nuclear weapons in the past but, President Trump has plans to hopefully attempt to denuclearize North Korea. North Korea has stated in the past there reasoning for nuclear weapons is strictly for its own defense and security. If North Korea agrees to denuclearize, there is very strong chance that they will ask for the 30,000 US military troops to leave South Korea in exchange. This past April the leaders of both Koreas agreed to attempt to denuclearize the peninsula.  Now with Trump meeting Kim Jong-Un there is an even greater chance that North Korea agrees to denuclearize.

The two leaders will also be discussing and hopefully agreeing to a peace agreement between the two countries. Previously the two leaders have taken dramatic 'shots' at each other on twitter which the general public has seen as nerve racking. Currently North Korea is the largest threat to the United States due to the fact that there weapons of mass destruction can reach U.S. coast lines. This meeting will hopefully ensure peace between the two countries as well as hopefully a new "friend" in the world. 

The finial topic of discussion that will be touched at this historical meeting will be the unprecedented testing of nuclear weapons by North Korea. Since 2006 North Korea has supposedly tested 6 nuclear weapons in underground testing facilities. Despite international sanctions North Korea has disobeyed these sanctions and continued to test there weapons of mass destruction. Kim Jong-Un has agreed to set down a nuclear test site ahed of the meeting which further helps President Trumps case. It is rumored that a nuclear test site in a Mountain in North Korea recently collapsed due to a nuclear weapon test. 

As President Trump said, "I think we have a very good chance to do something very meaningful." This historical meeting is a little over a month away but is highly anticipated by people around the world. This meeting will hopefully resolve many issues the U.S. and North Korea have with each other as well as hopefully kickstart a new international friend. As the high anticipated meeting swiftly approaches new topics of discussion will be released and I will be sure to keep you up tp date.
