In Jamestown, people brought chemical testing supplies to test the land for gold instead of bringing livestock and food and near the beginning a lot of people died trying to find profits. While in Plymouth, the people were religious and came for religious freedom. They brought livestock with them and tried to survive. People expanded west in the name of god but also did it to satisfy their own greed so you can’t have one thing without the other, but the sad truth is that Americans are more inclined to be greedy then to pray to god since goodwill only lasts so long till someone decides they want a little more.

They were so engulfed by greed that they didn't think ahead of how they will survive. We also saw in Jamestown that once they had made enough tobacco to survive they decided to get slaves to make them even more money. Because there is an example of two different colonies that both thrived based off of both. Jamestown thrived because of the money it made, while Plymouth thrived because they made a bond with the Natives.
