However, we have set power goals that take priority (most recently SEL and DEI goals). Covid prioritized technology goals, resources, and overall collaboration for tech resources. We've always used those (blindly) to identify the "essential standards." COVID hit and that maps were created by the consulting company we hired.  So we rolled out the new maps this last year (20-21) and we were remote until April.  So, not a good time to try a new map .  Now we are adopting new ELA curriculum.

I do not think that COVID will make them focus more on standards. I believe maybe the opposite will happen.
