There is so many difference that we don't know of. The difference between us and the First people are that they value what they have and we don't really care what we waste. The first people believe that everything that is a living thing has a soul. But we as a society believe that we are the only living thing that really has a soul, and most of us probably don't have one. The things that are similar between us as society and the first people are that we both care about our families. We also have similarities with our family history. One other thing that we all have in common is that we all are not made to be perfect. Its funny how that canada made a treaty between us and the first people but we really didn't stay by it. If everyone except the aboriginals died the land would be healthy and there still would be a lot of life left

The difference between the view of First People's and our society is that we, as a society put a value on the things we receive/hunt such as food and land. We abuse the land and exploit its resources because we can make a profit by selling it. While the First Peoples treat it like nature is their friend. They have a give and take relationship, for example, if they cut down a tree, they will repay the land by planting a new one. First Peoples aren't owners but caretakers of the land. A similarity would be that we kill animals to feed ourselves, but society uses it as an advantage to sell what they hunted while First Peoples share the animal within its entire village.

The first nation peoples have different views and opinions related to land as opposed to people today. The first nation peoples didn't feel like they were the original owners of the land, they only felt that they were the caretakers and that land was a gift from the "creator". The first nation peoples had no interest in selling land, and the communities had traditional territories such as rivers and forests. Most communities would share some parts of the land that were filled with resources such as bison herds. The first nation peoples used their land to benefit them, the first nations used their land to produce resources, and survive.

Today, people sell land, and try to maximize the profits they make by modifying it. Every piece of land has a a different price, and it's nothing compared to the first nations view on land. Today, everything is about the money and nothing is about sharing and allowing people to use the land for free, everything comes with a price. To this day, every part of the land has an owner, and if you wish to use it you must pay the desired price that the owner requests. The only real similarity that i can see between the two religions is the fact that we all use the land for the same purpose, colonizing, and producing resources.

The First Nations people of pre-colonial Canada were brought up with the ideology that materialism is something to be condemned or contempted. They believed that a life of minimalism rather than materialism was a greater and more enriched life. They shared their goods and services amongst themselves in a greed-free utopia of commonwealth.
In modern western society life is much more about wealth and materialism. People more commonly seek value through goods and money, rather than through spirituality. Today's society is a hierarchy built on influence and wealth, while the the traditional aboriginals of Canada empowered through generosity and altruism.

I see many differences as to how my culture, and the rest of society treats our land. For one, aboriginal people believe in sharing their resources fairly, while society takes everything and gives it a dollar value, even people. Another difference is how First Nations people take only what they need so he earth will be able to sustain itself, meanwhile society takes what they want because they care more about money than they do about the earth (the place we all have to live.) Society today takes horrible care of society because we are all ignorant and money hungry.
I don't see many similarities between the two, or any for that matter. This site is completely eradicating my ability to finish this assignment, so please excuse the lack of evidence of effort

There is one similarity where both first nation and mordern society use land for some kind of benefit. There are very many differences between the two cultures, first nations believe that they are caretakers and everything in the world is important while people today think they rule everything and everything is for them to exploit. People today only see monetary value in the objects and people around us. This chases modern say people to take more than they need from nature just to make profit, not caring at all for the damages they cause or damages in the future. The first nations think sustainably always replenishing what they take so several future generations can use the same resources. The modern society view of the world will destroy the world in the near future but the first nations will preserve what they can.

The difference between the First Peoples relationship with land and today's society relationship with land, is that First Peoples believed that resources on land were not to be abused or exploited, because they were gifts from the Creator. First Peoples saw co-operation, sharing, and diversity as important values. They believed that food should be shared among all. On the other hand, today's society is the opposite. Instead of sharing with one another, we usually tend to think of how we can get more of something (ex: food) and sell it for more money. First Peoples believe that one of something is good enough and can be shared, because it benefits everyone else's survival.

the First Nations People are viewed as being respectful to all aspects of the land and the animals that reside within. the same cannot be said for our current society because they simply destroy the land, taking too many resources and killing the residing animals at an alarming rate without remorse. there is one clear difference between both the First Nations People and our current society. That difference is that our society is highly profit driven, meaning they will do anything to earn money whereas the First nations people didn`t put a price value on anything, they simply took only what they needed and shared the rest. Another difference I see is that our society today believes heavily in ownership of everything, whereas the First Nations People would probably think the concept of owning things is strange because they shared absolutely everything among their people. the only real similarity I see between these two cultures is that there are still people in our society who care about preserving the Earth much like the First Nations People do. These people stand up for things such as animal rights and find many ways to maintain our ecosystem.

There aren't many similarities between the first peoples and us today. The one similarity is that both people used the land for benefits, such as using it for resources to live and eat. I believe the first peoples had a better view of the land than us today. They never thought that there should be an owner, and that they were just caretakers of the land. They all shared there resources and never let anything go to waste. The first peoples never saw an interest of selling anything to make a profit. People now want to make profit off of everything. We have access to everything we need at stores so wasting resources becomes a habit. We don't use the land for the same reason as the first people did, we use it for making profit. With the view that our society has today and how we act, it wont be long before we destroy ourselves.
