My views on teen dating violence have changed tremendously. I now know that a situation does not have to be physical to be unhealthy, and that there are ways to get out of them. There are signs that a relationship is unhealthy, and I have a greater understanding of how serious teen dating violence can be.

It made me realize that people do go through that everyday. I will now start to look for the changes in behaviors in my friends behaviors if there are any.

1) the presentation opened to me the realization that lots of people are being abused but not telling anybody
2) What surprised me was the video and deep it was
3) I know a friend who was grabbed and tossed around by their boyfriend when they wouldn’t comply to the boyfriends standards like getting him food
4) I know now that if I were in a bad situation, i would just leave

This presentation made me feel bad, and sad ..I kinda never really knew people actually took this serious, and I’m glad we got this presentation today but it made me look at things different now & now I feel better/safer now that I have different ways to solve these problems.
This presentation was really surprising and I liked it.
Yes, my cousin is in a relationship like this currently and me and my other cousins don’t really know how to help her but now I can try , thanks to this presentation.
I feel very equipped to handle a situation like this .

This presentation made me realize what teen dating violence really is and how it can make people feel or act. The surprising thing was that there is 8 states that do not have a law against domestic violence. I have been in a relationship where I was getting hit but I of course hit em back cause yeah. & they ain’t say nothing dumb to me cause they not stupid. & now I actually know how to handle a situation if my friend is in it.

It made me realize how much it can make an impact on your life.

Made me feel sad because I’ve gone through this before. it was surprising because I didn’t know so many people went through the same thing I did. I’ve been in this situation. I do feel more aware now that I know what kind of signs to look out for. I went through this at the beginning of the year and I thought I wasn’t going to be able to escaped from this but eventually I did. I had to go through all of this without the support of my friends because I decided to keep it a secret because I didn’t want people to think I was weak.

The presentation helped me acknowledge that some of the things I experienced were considered abuse.What was surprising was the amount of people who go through teen relationship abuse. None of my friends and family went through this , that I know of. Yes I would know how to deal with something like this if I was in this situation.

What was surprising is the amount of people who didn’t realize how often this really happens.
My friends and family members have experienced this situation before and I’m currently in this situation and finding my way out of it, but it’s a process.
I know how to help get other people out of these situations (and I have before) but trying to get out of the situation myself is complicated.

What was surprising was that they were screaming loud and demanded or wanted to be treated better.

This presentation made me feel some type of way because knowing that happens and that can happen is sad. The thing that was surprising was it happens more than you think it does and it can happen to anyone and it effects the person a lot. Yes I’ve been in that kind of relationship but it was just with the physical abuse. Yes I feel more enquipped to handle a situation like this because I know how to deal with this kind of stuff.

I feel like disgusted in how much people treat people with the way they do. I was surprised at how many teens get abused in their relationships. I have never been in a situation like that. I feel like If I can see something like this happening I would tell that person that they need to leave that relationship.

Concerned, Now that I know that people go threw this it’s makes me feel worried. Something that was surprising was that how peope say things to stay with you. No, I try to surround myself around people that are not worried about relationships for now and focused on there goal. Yes, I just learn to live an let things go as hard as it may be at the end of the day I know I won’t stress

This presentation made me feel sad hearing that anyone can be abuse by their boyfriend or girlfriend. It was surprising that not all states have a law for teen abuse. I heard stories that teens and adults died from abuse. I feel more equipped to handle a situation like this cause I can know that some boys can hurt you in anyway.

I felt sad because I went through this and I didn’t have the support of my friends because I decided to keep it to myself because I didn’t want people to think I was weak. This boy really did make me feel like I wasn’t worth it & forced me to do things I didn’t want to. Now I know that there is more people out there that’s have gone through the same thing I did.

I feel like real upset because it stuff no one shjould really have to deal with. It's like people are seriously messed up and controlling and I just feel bad because it could happen to anyone. Espically because for some people, they might not even know it's abuse like it could be their first relationship and they think it's ok. It's surprising just how easy it can happen. You may think you really like someone and everything is good but then it turns out they are using you, disrespectful, etc. I hope no one I know has been in a relationship like this, and I just hope people can learn to be respectful in relationships. I did enjoy this presentation, and the information feels really useful, and I feel like I could identify an abusive relationship better now.

1. It made me feel emotional, because I’ve seen violent relationships in my own house and it brought me back to where I was feeling depressed everyday.
2. That 1.5 million teens were in violent relationships.
3. My parents have been in a very similar situation and just got out of it a week ago. I still don’t talk to my dad because of it.
4. Yes because I feel like I would be smart enough to just get out of it right away and find help no matter what might happen in the future.
