-The beach location is a visual metaphor for heaven, being stuck in limbo, finding peace.

1. OPENING

A girl stand on a beach looking out to sea. The narrator character introduces her to the story and expresses his longing to see her again.

2. INTRODUCTION

We see the girl climb up onto a rocky hill, reaching the top.

She sits/lies down and transforms into a mystical Kitsune creature that we can't quite make out due to the long grass obscuring the view.

The narrator continues.

3. BACKSTORY (SEQUENCE)

Introduced to the narrator (main character) as he tells the audience about his journey. A sand-animated sequence of him travelling through deserts and persevering to get to her, he finally collapses to his knees and falls to the ground. The sand blows away to reveal him lying on the floor (2D hand-drawn).

4. BUILD UP

A light appears, and a melody begins to play. The music notes become visible on screen, and he picks himself up to follow them. As he follows the notes, he crosses through a cave, and the light becomes overwhelmingly bright as he reaches the end of the cave. A beach is on the other side, with a distant, four legged figure watching him from a far.

He spots the Kitsune creature and walks towards it. The tide gets closer, and as he starts to get closer to the creature, it turns and begins to walk away. He walks faster, and suddenly the Kitsune transforms into 'her' and begins to run, he excitedly runs after her, which turns into desperation as he tries to keep up. The music notes appear once again, leading him towards her, and seagulls fly above.

9. ENDING

We see her stare deeply into the camera, before transforming and turning and walking away back towards the sunshine room. As she walks, she transforms back into her Kitsune form.

6. CLIMAX

He finally catches up, but she disappears into a strange looking cottage/house with the symbol of a sunshine with a face on the front. He follows her, and there is a door on the other side of the sunshine room he enters.

Before he can enter, the mysterious Kitsune steps out and blocks the doorway instead.

The creature will not let him enter, and pushes him away.

He is afraid and bewildered by the creature, and as it gets closer and closes in on him, he tries to push the creature away.

As his hands touch the Kitsune, it transforms into 'her', embracing him.

He opens his eyes and can't believe he has found her again. However, he notices his colour is starting to fade to transparency.

8. CONCLUSION

She takes his hand, and leads him back out of the sunshine room where he entered, and back on to the beach. They walk together one last time, and sit beside one another as the sun sets, and he becomes more transparent.

She tells him that he has to go back, he does not belong here and it is not his time to meet ger again yet. They part from one another.
