Bartolomeu Dias was an explorer who was famous for being the first European to sail around the southern tip of Africa.

He set sail in August 1487 from Lisbon Portugal to find a sea route to Indian and returned in 1488 successfully and proving a navigable route to the Indian Ocean was possible.

It’s currently 1493, just began my career of exploring and tagged along Christopher Columbus too. The Caribbean is very beautiful. I want money so.. The place was Sabrosa in northern Portugal. He went to the Spice Islands by a western route. He was found on the Island of Guam. The exploration was important because he discovered the Strait of Magellan when leading the first expedition. He was born on February 4 1480. He died on April 27th 1521. His journey was sponsored by King Charles of Spain. His nationality was Portugal ethnicity was Portuguese. #realexplorer
