Dr. Cork also observes my class sessions. She offers great advice as to how I can improve my teaching practices. She is not a fan of mediocrity. She will not allow you to half-ass being a teacher. She holds each of us accountable, and she expects us to maintain our professional responsibilities. Gladly, Dr. Cork and I haven't had a difficult conversation, but she has checked a few of my co-workers who neglect their professional responsibilities. She doesn't play about teaching and learning, and she doesn't play about data! Dr. Cork surpasses my expectations when it comes to providing adequate support. Thanks to Dr. Cork, we receive a plethora of training, professional development, and content development. Dr. Cork prioritizes our needs, but I wonder about who is responsible for providing Dr. Cork with all of her needs so that she can provide us with our needs. Dr. Cork became an instructional coach at the start of the 2021-2022 academic year. She was trained by one of the best educators in the district, former Biology I instructional coach Dr. Laquanda Sims. Alongside Dr. Sims, Dr. Cork receives professional development from instructional science groups such as The Kirkland Group and The Bailey Group.
