The sandals are for quick transition while going from the water to the restroom or getting something to eat. The shorts are for quick drying when getting out of the water. The towel also matches the shorts. Mainly this outfit was made to be comfortable. I love going to the beach because ever since I was a little kid I was always at the beach and always loved the beach. As you can tell by the artwork Basquiat was a very interesting guy with a bright and sporadic imagination. These clothes relate to him because they are colorful like his personality and don't follow a set of guidelines. The shorts have random words written on them and the shows sort of reminds me of Basquiats artwork. Basquiat died on August 12, 1988 of a Heroin Overdose and suffered from addiction most of his life as he was homeless.
