The woman was in there for 5 hours gaining the mother's trust. Then she said, "Baby has a fever. Let's get that checked." So she took her, ran past the mother, grandmother, and nurse and took the baby (Kamiyah). She was gone for 18 years, but the mother and the police did not stop to find her. Later, they found an 18 year old young woman in South Carolina with the same date of birth, but a different name. JSO investigators got a DNA sample and proved that she was indeed Kamiyah Mobley. The lady who kidnapped her was put into jail for 10 years (Gloria Williams). This relates to power because the woman who kidnapped her had power. She was powerful enough to rush past her mother and grandmother and just take her. The painting was about what started the black lives matter movement. In 2014 the shooting of Michael Brown, a black 18-year-old, by a white police officer, Darren Wilson, started the huge movement.

In Mexican fields 10,12, and 13 year old kids are working all day with only a tortilla for breakfast and a small meal from a food truck to eat. The days are 90º and they get no breaks.
