Or have a life skills workshop where each teacher teaches one essential skill (such as changing a tire, or changing a spark plug, maintaining small engines, etc.)<3<3<3 love this

Students get together in groups to discuss issues: school, community, state, national, global...and work on solutions. These student ideas can grow and contacts made with those who have the power and authority to enact these ideas (or better yet, the influence to put these kids in contact with the resources, people, etc, who will empower these kids)
