      Use of Brain Pop, Jr. to begin the learning process about short and long vowels.  Students will then take the quiz at the end of each video.  
·      In small groups, students will discuss what they learned from the video.  After the discussion, students will create (with their groups) a discussion using Padlet.  The other groups in the class will discuss what is posted from the other groups until each group has conversed with the other groups.  
·      Students will independently create drawings in their journals to teach others what they learned about and then practice using Storybird by copying information in their physical journal to their digital journal (Storybird).
·      Students will create a teaching video using Screencastify where they will present their journal entries/drawings to the class.  
·      Finally, students will use an internet search engine to research and evaluate websites that could be used to help teach short and long vowels.
