Oral Communication plays a big role, not just in Graphic Illustration, but in everyday life. Most aspects of life require us to communicate with others, and this strand is no different. Chances are, as time passes on and as we continue learning throughout the school year, we will be needing to work together with our classmates, teachers, and others more in order to get our work done properly and efficiently. But in order to work together, we will need to communicate together (Beit through sharing ideas, explaining concepts to those who don’t completely understand, etc.), and communicating will not be easy if we do not know how to properly do it. Hence, why this subject will be important in this strand.

Well to start, being well versed in oral communication is very helpful because it is fundamentally one of the most important skills to have as a person. Verbally interacting and communicating with people is relatively something that you will experience in your day to day life and is one of the main social pursuits that human society has structured itself upon. Without communication, there shall be no understanding; Without understanding, there shall be no order; and without order, there will come chaos.

With that idea in mind, it is no surprise why there's a valid reason Oral Com can help me in this field. Sure I can read and write or conceptualized and construct written sentences on my own but actively partaking in verbal expression of a language is a larger defining factor on judging someone literacy. It is apparent that Oral Com is important with this type of strand. One of the key factors of making good art is being able to communicate or express it well to your target audience. You could go ahead and make one of the best art concepts you could ever construct but its going to be a whole different ordeal if you cannot present your work clearly in which therefore you failed on achieving to comply with one of these key factors and basically discards half the purpose of why the art was conceptualized. And likewise, being able to talk well with different people is very important because it can obtain you connections. Obtaining connections are practically important especially on a creative field, it is what brings you the stability and guarantees you an audience which is purposely what the art that you produce is for.

2. Yes. By actually committing to my current and hopefully last strand as I have a history of frequently switching strands because I have had unsatisfactory experiences with each and every one of them. After being able to get past that and accomplish my education in this strand and this sort of field, I can finally focus on making artistic creations that can influence people deeply on a personal level. I neither have to be a top dog nor have a huge following, I only want to have a unique voice and have people listen to it. Even when artists are always stereotypically thought as someone who always stays inside their room, and doesn't handle communication very well personally, we would still come across communicating no matter what happens. That is why I also think that it is very important for us to study this subject. To put it simple, Oral Communication will help us improve and turn into a better version of ourselves, and will help with the impressions we give off to other people.

Yes, I am ready to become a game changer. I think that every person who decided to study at this school is ready to become a game changer, because this is their school of choice. I've also wanted to study at this school when I was in elementary I think? I saw some ads and thought that it was pretty cool as it is a pretty open-minded school. Now, I didn't expect myself to go pursue arts. But when I did, I knew iACADEMY was my first choice. I am excited to start my journey in this school. :D
