Step 2: In your groups discuss the following questions:

 

 

What are the differences and similarities between the two studies (specify the differences and similarities, not just describe for each)

1.    With regard to the type of research question (aims/objectives etc.)?

2.    The approach to data collection?

a.    What kind of data is collected?

b.    How much data is collect?

3.    How findings and discussion of findings are reported

a.    How were the findings presented?

b.    How were the findings discussed?

c.    What kinds of conclusions were drawn?

4.    What are the implications for the validity of each type of study?

 

 

 

Step 3: In your groups, consider the following:

What lessons have you learned from this task, that you can relate the research question you are developing for your module assessment? (e.g.  what have you learned about your own aims and objectives? Have you thought about your approach to data collection?  Etc.).

 

 

Step 4: On the Padlet (you may wish to nominate someone in your group to do this)

·         State your research question or topic

·         State three lessons learned as discussed in step 3.
